2024 model Benz AMG C63 (I know it’s not a real V8 and etc, but car itself pretty quick, despite of missing glorious v8 ramble, but I need to accept reality and need daily commute car which has decent gas mileage.)
Lease terms: 36 months
Money factor: 0.00234
Annual mileage: 10,000
Down payment: 5000
Monthly payment including sales tax: 1237
Without tax, monthly payment - 1116
Technically without downpayment, monthly with sales tax around - 1375
Wasnt able to get residual value of car after lease…
AMG line is not best for lease deals, as most of luxury cars, but only thing that makes me think about this car is discount on MSRP - 18,000
Why are you stuck on the AMG 63 as a basic commuter car? I think there are many other options for a ‘basic commuter car’ in the $1K a month club. The $18K discount is because AMG fans don’t want a 4-banger, hybrid AMG, which negatively impacts residual value.
I know its not perfectly rational choice, but I want some weekend fun car as well, cant have 2 cars for each purpose like tesla 3 for daily commute and 911 for weekend fun drive.
I’m in my midlife and have been driving a 2006 Lexus GX470 for almost a decade. Now, I feel that I’ve reached a point of financial stability where I can afford a higher-end car that offers reasonable mileage and doubles as a fun weekend car.
The monthly lease payment would likely be around 3% of my monthly income. I’m not sure if this counts as a high-consumption lifestyle, but I recognize that leasing an AMG is more of an emotional decision than a smart financial one.
I really like the C63’s design, the updated MBUX interface, the ambient lighting, and other features. While the lack of a V8 engine is a big letdown, the car is still quite fast—I’ve test-driven it, so I have firsthand experience.
Your last two posts are responses to being put on the defensive. Since the normal LH brigade must be out trying to talk you out of leasing the car you like/want.
The latest iteration of the C63 isn’t designed for the normal user of this site. The car is still “expensive” by their standard, and a bunch of users on this site really hate seeing people get a car they like to drive. They want to see you drive some janky base model, wobbly Volvo, or loaner EV.
It seems you’re here to just get a better price on the car you want to drive… The deal you started this thread with could be way better.
You can attempt to haggle much more aggressively by putting together a target offer with the help of the LH calculator…
Or go through the LH brokers / dealers with C63 in their listing. Based on how rough the showrooms are in the Pacific NW to people off the street, I’m guessing you’ll have a better time with a LH dealer.
