At this point, it’s Hyundai cousin (Ioniq 9) is cheaper and would make more sense. Have you considered?
I haven’t run target deals on EV9, but don’t think it’s hackable anymore. Have you put together a target deal based on the discounts you see posted here in combination with current programs?
There are some 101 articles on the site which explain how to use the calculator.
Yeah, we test drove the IONIQ 9 but my partner didn’t like that one as much. We may give it another shot in a higher trim, I think, but for now we’re mostly considering the EV9 (even though on paper, the I9 is better!).
As for the research: I’ve been poring over the articles, broker listings and deals, and calculator for a few days, which is how I was able to talk this dealer down (referencing the effective monthly cost of the advertised brokered deals). This still isn’t quite as low as those, but they obviously have other costs associated with them, too.
All that said, I’m not sure I am following your meaning about setting up a target deal; is that simply knowing what a good effective monthly cost is (based on available programs and other advertised deals here) and negotiating for that? Or is there a better way to build those?
Thanks for this. I did some quick number crunching and the effective cost would be pretty close to my effective monthly because I’d have to pay to ship it. That assumes they’d let me lease from out-of-state and do the paperwork virtually, of course
