Signed: 2026 Kia EV9 Land AWD Blue w/ Tow Hitch, 36m/10k, $692/mo, $0 DAS, MSRP $72,205

I started out with a local dealer offering me $950/month with $2k down for a lesser trim configuration, but worked a bunch of nationwide deals with help from the marketplace, the forums, and other great resources here. Eventually got the best one from a dealer I could drive to in MN (I’m in Wisconsin) and picked it up last Friday.

I’d love to hear people’s thoughts on the deal. It’s my first while using LH for a resource. I hope I did well!

Beautiful car! Enjoy. I have beens earching for one. Deals here end up pretty similar for wisconsin zipcodes.

One of the best colors on that car!

Beautiful Color! Congrats!

Unpopular opinion: Spending this time on a Kia is wild.

I hope I don’t regret it. I’ve been enjoying our Hyundai EVs for a few years so I’m hoping the shared (battery) platform will yield similar reliability and enjoyment! :crossed_fingers:t2:

I’ve had my EV9 for 11 months now. After I was able to get the shakes resolved (over 65mph) it’s been great! Just watch the tires. I am at 8K miles and my tires are evaporating LOL I’ll be lucky if I get 4K more miles out of them.

You now have a strong basis to construct and present a similar offer.

That’s how most of us here who don’t routinely use brokers shop.

Note that you have the benefit of being in a very weak EV market.

LOL, yeah. Thankfully this is not our first (or most powerful) EV, so I’m mostly over launching it. But yeah, they can really torch the rubber if you get a little pedal-happy… :dashing_away:

I don’t even really launch it anymore. Maybe once in a great moon LOL I am in the process of looking at numbers to trade up to a 2026 model.

Nice. Are there specific new features you’re looking for in the 2026, or do you just have a lease ending?

Just looking. Rebates are ending soon so figured I’d at least check.

The bench on the Land trim is handy for our use case, and the Nightshade package looks nice!

Also compare the Io9

I don’t really like the looks of the I9. Are the numbers compatible?

The SEL has everything I’d need and nothing I don’t, at a great price. YMMV.

Yeah, we almost got the I9. The lease prices I worked were similar in our case (SEL vs Land).

We test drove both. We eventually went with the EV9 because:

  • The IONIQ 9 was just a little too long to fit in our garage comfortably
  • My wife didn’t like the cupholder/console storage configuration as much in the EV9
  • We preferred the exterior styling of the EV9
  • EV9 is in its third model year

I agree with you. Not a big fan of looks as it looks like a Kona on the front end. I test drove one (SEL AWD) yesterday and I liked the packaging, options, and how it drove. If you can bear with how it looks, Ioniq 9 is a compelling package and you can get SEL in low $500s.

I have negative on my trade, but the numbers that came back today from the broker was

$832 36/12
$2K down
my 2024 EV9 trade is at $49K, Kia payoff is at $52,315

I didn’t pull the trigger LOL My current payment is $638 for another year. I will take my chances on whatever’s available next year.
