I started out with a local dealer offering me $950/month with $2k down for a lesser trim configuration, but worked a bunch of nationwide deals with help from the marketplace, the forums, and other great resources here. Eventually got the best one from a dealer I could drive to in MN (I’m in Wisconsin) and picked it up last Friday.
I hope I don’t regret it. I’ve been enjoying our Hyundai EVs for a few years so I’m hoping the shared (battery) platform will yield similar reliability and enjoyment!
I’ve had my EV9 for 11 months now. After I was able to get the shakes resolved (over 65mph) it’s been great! Just watch the tires. I am at 8K miles and my tires are evaporating LOL I’ll be lucky if I get 4K more miles out of them.
LOL, yeah. Thankfully this is not our first (or most powerful) EV, so I’m mostly over launching it. But yeah, they can really torch the rubber if you get a little pedal-happy…
I agree with you. Not a big fan of looks as it looks like a Kona on the front end. I test drove one (SEL AWD) yesterday and I liked the packaging, options, and how it drove. If you can bear with how it looks, Ioniq 9 is a compelling package and you can get SEL in low $500s.
