Deal Check: 2025 Silverado EV LT Extended Range - Courtesy Vehicle Lease

2025 Silverado EV LT Extended Range

I feel like it is too good to be true. It is a courtesy vehicle. I have a GM Supplier discount.
They had to raise the sale price to get it out of negative depreciation. They are also writing a $7404 check to offset the payment to get it to $160.5 after the check back is considered. I feel there is something I am missing.

Wow, just wow

Wow good or wow you’re stupid?

The numbers don’t make a lot of sense, unless I’m missing something.

Current rebates for the 25 Silverado EV LT are:

  • Customer CCR for Courtesy Vehicle: $2750
  • Dealer CCR for Courtesy Vehicle: $2750

Of course, if you have other rebates, like Costco, Military, College, etc., then those would be on top of that. So I’m not sure where the $4,500 rebate they are showing you is coming from, unless they are shifting some of the $5500 to the post-sale rebate of $7404.

Can you post the calculator?

I had a similar issue of negative depreciation on a GM lease a couple of weeks ago, so I know the calculator can be a bit funky, but if you structure the numbers the way I did, it’ll be easier to see what they are actually doing and you can make sure you’re getting every dollar you should.

Here’s the template:

MSRP: … … … … .$45094
Sell Price:… … … ..$43725

Cap Cost Reduction: $8100
… … … … … … … … … …GM Employee $2100
… … … … … … … … … …Incremental CCR $1750
… … … … … … … … … …CTP CCR $1500
… … … … … … … … … …Lease Loyalty $1000
… … … … … … … … … …Costco Exec $1250
… … … … … … … … … …GM Card Signup $ 500

Adjusted Cap Cost: $35625
Resid Value (79%): $35624.26

Depreciation: … … … .. $ 0.74
Rent Charge: … … . $ 3539.74 (One-Pay MF 0.00207)
Total Lease Pmts: … $ 3540.48

Sales Tax & Fees: … . $ 841.00
One Pay Lease: … .. $ 4381.48

LESS:
Post-Sale Rebate: … $ 2131.48
… … … … … … … … … … Dealer Incremental CTP Cash $1500
… … … … … … … … … … Additional Discount … … … … $ 631.48

Net One-Pay Lease: $ 2250.00 (excluding TTL, $1409)

Just change the numbers to suit your deal.

Thank you! I don’t have all the numbers yet. Below is all I know
MSRP: … … … … .$75740
Sell Price:… … … ..$73144

Cap Cost Reduction: $8854
… … … … … … … … … …Rebates 4500 (don’t have the breakdown)
courtesy vehicle, GM Supplier Discount, Loyalty discount*

Adjusted Cap Cost: $64381

Downpay $5000

LESS:
Post-Sale Rebate: … $ 7404

24 months, 10000 miles
Monthly: $469

If you take the $7404 and divide it by all 24 months. The monthly comes does to $160

So $469-$160 for an effective $309 after the post sale rebate? Seems very aggressive but not out of the realm of possibility. Although the way the numbers are structured aren’t making much sense to me.

But hey sometimes the best deals are ones that don’t make much sense.

Same for me as @carrot56 . But, if you can get them to do it for $309/mo all-in for 24 mos, that’s a great deal.

Just get details on the incentives breakdown. I’m not aware of any Loyalty rebate, but it might be something regional in your area. Also, if you sign up through them for a GM card, you get an extra $500. Plus, if you qualify for Conquest, that stacks with Supplier, and that’s another $250. They can return all of that to you in the post-sale rebate for an additional $31/mo off.

Considering I liked your post..hehe

< $200 for a Silverado..omg I’m so jealous

Haha had to make sure. The dealership is dragging their feet with the paper work may still fall through.

here is the rebate break down:

shouldn’t the there be loaner rebates that total $5,500. 2,750 for in service and 2,750 for out of service?

From what I’ve seen it’s $5750, at least on the RSTs. It doesn’t mean the dealer is always going to give you everything however.

yeah. I would check RateFinder and verify the rebates. AFAIK, it should be:

Customer CTP CCR $2,750
Dealer CTP Out-of-Service CCR $2,750
Supplier $2,750

…unless it’s different for your region.

So you should have rebates (or Cap Cost Reduction) of $8,250, and that’s before any sales price discount. So something isn’t adding up.

The fact that the dealer isn’t giving you a full deal sheet (unless they are and you haven’t shared it yet) always makes me default to thinking they are hiding something.

If I were you, I’d put your own numbers together using the framework I posted above, and tell them this is what you’ll pay. Key points:

  • get the depreciation amount to be close to zero, but not below. It can be less than $1.
  • if after calculating the discount you have a negative depreciation, move as little as you can to the post-sale rebate to get your depreciation to be slightly positive.

if you frame it in a way that they can easily analyze it, then you know they won’t/can’t play any games with you and you’ll know exactly what the discount is. I wouldn’t put it past some dealers to add a dealer mark-up and hiding it in the deal.

Good luck!

This was the lease deal. With a $7404 check at signing with free deliver (only $150)
I feel like they are try to so something weird here.

So looks like it’s $368.58/mo effective. You get $7,404 back but you’re still paying $5k at signing and have a $468.75 payment to make each month.

(11250/24)-((7404-5000)/24) =368.58

Pretty good. If you’re happy with it I’d say take it.

Right. Thanks for the insight. Wasn’t sure if I was getting taken for a ride or not.

Are getting all the rebates you qualify for?

Seems fine to me. They kept you adjusted cap cost right above your residual value. You should be good to go with this contract.

Hey @nolen007 . Did you end up getting this truck?

Signed on Thursday, but didn’t get the truck yet. They claim they are waiting for GM to fund it.
