Another tip is to try to get one of those red corporate-pushed units from when the E53E first came out.
Basically every MB dealership was forced to take a red one (with chrome window surrounds) at around $101k MSRP; and then a max optioned “Edition 1” in Opalite white magno with the night package. Everybody wants that night package.
The white ones sold out pretty quick, but the red ones are kind of sucky option load. They should be more discounted if they’re still in stock because they’re getting long in the tooth.
Except for it being in Chicago where leasing = effed up… yes like that one.
You can see that one has a few thousand demo miles, and was likely the mule they used to show off the car and what a low/mid option load would look like.
But this was actually the spec I was referring to. The $101k MSRP and red should mean it’s about 180 days aged. MB pushed this specific build to all the dealerships. I would imagine some GM’s just turfed these as employee/spouse vehicles so hopefully some fart-versions are coming due soon.
No, they’re some other chain (Grieco?) that want to out-Envision Envision. They still have an EQS loaner that was supposed to be miraculously sold before March. That’s what they told me in January. Looks like a 6/30 deal at this rate. BTW, look up its price history on car gurus for some free entertainment.
