What do y’all think about this deal, honestly kinda tempted.

  • Vehicle: 2025 Mercedes-Benz AMG E 53 E 4MATIC
  • MSRP: $105,500
  • Lease Term: 39 months / 15,000 miles per year
  • Monthly Payment: $1,577 (including tax)
  • Due at Signing (DAS): $0
  • Residual Value: 49%
  • Location: ZIP 32771
  • MF should be .00166
  • Discount $5k
  • Rebate $7.5k

I have a paid off 2023 Audi S5 that I am trading in and they are giving me full retail on it as a check. Trade in value is approx $46k. They are giving me $49k and I will used that to pay on the lease.

I know there are some harsh critics here, so want to see what you guys think. Thanks

Thanks for the input and roast haha

So where is the meat on this? More dealer discount? I was told this is the base money factor already, other dealer also used .00166. I don’t know if they are lying about the rate in this calc.

Mind you, this is for 15k miles a year. What would you expect to pay?

Any car over I think $105K MSRP is cheaper to pay for miles on the back end vs front end.

They are basically selling you the car at MSRP with jacked MF. Tell them you want check for the full $49K, base MF and $5000 discount… your payment should be around $1200-1300 without putting that massive down payment from your trade in.

Yeah, kind of sounds like they are flat out lying about the money factor they are using.

I don’t think the MF is marked up. Make things simple and pick the option where you walk out of there with a big fat check … the ($49,000) column @ 39 months.

You need to negotiate on these three points:

  1. Get them to itemize each one of these things. It does not seem the $1,095 Benz acquisition fee or the ~$1,500 CA DMV registration fees are in here. These look like bogus add-ons and dealer junk. California is supposed to cap dealer fees at $85. Them calling it a “dealer service fee” feels illegal unless this is some wheel protection junk or some nitrogen in the tires. I think some of this can be stripped out.

  1. Make sure the “market value selling price” is the same as the MSRP… make sure they aren’t hiding some junk in there.

  2. Assuming MVSP and MSRP are the same… 4.75% off MSRP frond end discount they’re giving you is junk. Shoot for a @djrabbi worthy 12% off

He is in FL not CA. Does not seem like a horrible deal but definitely room for improvement. Not sure why OP tells him to run when his own deal isn’t any better on a cheaper car @ 7500 vs 15K. And, yes, crunch the numbers when everything else is set in stone whether it makes any sense to do 15K (probably not as @djrabbi said).

Now, what I really want to know is why @Alvis thinks that the value of his Audi is 46 and the dealer is offering 49? Makes no sense… Probably worth more. If anything, accept less on a trade and get a bigger discount on a lease to save on interest if dealer agrees to play ball. Look up the thread for places to sell cars, EquityHackr, etc.

May be a bad choice in CA as he’ll lose 9/12 of the DMV which means that he’d need to save at least $30/mo just to break even.

Oh yeah didn’t think of that. CA is terrible lol

Nah take lease loyalty and ground early before maturity. Nobody on LH takes leases to maturity.
