Deal Check - 2025 Kia Telluride S (lease)

, ,

Hi Folks - would love some feedback here. I tried to walk the dealer down as best I could. Here’s where we stand. What do you think!?

MSRP $41,030.00
Total Discount $1,930.00
Adjusted Sale Price $39,100.00
Capped Fees (Doc, Reg, Tags) $3,617 (est. incl. doc, reg, non-tax fees)
Santa Fe Negative Equity (Rolled In) $2,158 (rolled into cap cost)
Tax (Post Trade-In Credit) $1,008.00
Total Cap Cost (Financed Amount) $44,247.00
Money Factor (MF) 0.00246
Lease Term 36 months
Residual Value $29,542 (72% of MSRP)
Monthly Payment (All-In) $590.00
Total Lease Cost (36 Months) $21,240.00

Zero reason to pay for this when you can get a palisade SEL / SEL prem for the same money.

Thanks – we prefer the Telluride look. What’s your take on the deal structure, given that there is a trade in involved as well.

I leased a better spec’d EV9 worth nearly double that, at a little over half that, so it looks like an impossibly bad deal from that POV.

Have you looked at what it would cost to buy? They hold their value pretty well, are you sure your total cost of owenership over 3 years wouldn’t be less going down that angle?

EV9 is an…EV

Telluride S is an…ICE

Not really a good comaprison

Same advice as this deal.

It helps to highlight what a terrible deal it is for a $36,000 vehicle…

Paying $21,000 to lease a $36,000 care for 3 years is terrible decision

My takeaway from that comment would be that hacked leases are great; unhacked leases are a great waste of money.
