Deal Check - 2024 Kia EV6 GT

Howdy hackrs! Been lurking around the site for few months and now may be the time for my first lease. Looking for input on how far I can / should push this deal, pls.

I almost signed a one pay Q8 etron sportback P+ 1 yr lease this week, but after a test drive it was just too boring, floaty, and the tech sucked.

My target lease deal(s) for a '24 Kia EV6 GT that I’ve offered about 25 Kia dealers in the southeast today (1/10/25):
Offer #1 - $0 DAS, $400/month (all taxes & fees included), 24/10
Offer #2 - $2k DAS, $330/month (all taxes & fees included), 24/10
Offer #3 - one pay of $9,300 (all taxes & fees included), 24/10

Below is the best offer from a dealer in NC, so far:

I tried to punch all of this into the calculator > CALCULATOR | LEASEHACKR

I’m not taking this deal. Need them to drop the selling price by $2.5 - $3k, and if they don’t, I’ll just wait until they or some other dealer does. I’m in no rush to do this either. Just want a fun car to run around town in. Multiple dealers have these listed for > $20k off MSRP and still can’t sell them, wild!!

What do you all think?? Thanks

First of, the discount on an EV6 GT is not $20K off anywhere, any dealer ad includes the rebates as a discount. Second, the MF on the calc is wrong.

I’m assuming the $1,000 paid by customer is considered “drive offs” and then the $1,000 on the left means actual money down, but I could be wrong.

This is the closest I came on your calc > Calc..

It’s not a $59k sale price, it’s a 61,405 due to the dealer ad of $2495.

Thanks @OcAutoLease! $1k should be DAS and that’s it, at least that’s what we talked about. Yeah, couldn’t tell what that $2495 was. So it sounds like their calcs on the left are off ($500) compared to your calc ($616). If this dealer continues to play ball, I’ll ask them to adjust or explain.

Here’s a new EV6 GT listed for $41.2k (cash, I believe) https://www.geraldkiamatteson.com/auto/new-2024-kia-ev6-gt-matteson-il/91743169/

This is once again a dealer ad. Rebates and dealer discount combined. Not including dealer accessories which they will for sure tack on.

Why is Offer #1 the least expensive deal?

You just need them to drop the $2495 add-on and you are there.

That ad includes $10K in Kia cash not applicable to a lease.

@Jon you’re correct! The 2k DAS should have a target payment of $310 instead of $330. Updated and will share this w/ dealers going forward. Not sure how I missed that

Got another Kia dealer in AR to play ball now with a demo car that has 2k miles. We’re almost at $400/month with $0 DAS :crossed_fingers: Will share an updated calc if we finalize.

Your calculations are still wrong. The DAS amount includes the 1st payment, so you only have 23 remaining payments.

Is this what you mean @Jon ?

Those total numbers now look correct. The lease is still considered a 24 month term.

Yep, thanks for pointing this stuff out!

What do you mean by $0 DAS? Are you rolling the first payment into the lease for a true $0 DAS deal (sign and drive)?

I’ll put down 1st monthly payment at signing, at least that’s what this AR dealer wants, and I’m totally fine with that.

Something to keep in mind if winters are on the colder side where you are - GT comes with summer tires

Good point but summer tires are perfect for Florida.

Getting the one in AR for $404/month with 2300 miles, demo car. Would have never been able to get that without help from everyone here. Thank you!!
