Signed: 2024 Kia EV6 GT, 24/10, $409 DAS and monthly

, ,

After making 3 lease offers to about 30 Kia dealers for their in-stock ‘24 EV6 GTs, 2 of them played reasonable ball and one came back with an offer that I accepted at $409/month with $409 DAS including taxes. Demo car with 2300 miles. Flew to Arkansas and drove it back to Florida a day before we got snow

First time leasing a car ever and I may be hooked! It’s a damn Kia with 576hp and 0-60 in 3.2s which is nuts, and I love it

Is this 0% dealer discount on an out-of-state loaner EV?

The MSRP is $63k but after all the discounts they got it down to $40k capitalized cost which made this payment possible, it seems.

I’m new to this, and I’m curious if you could share your initial conversations with the dealers? Did you just submit to them what you want to pay?

Yep, that’s exactly correct. Here were my 3 offers I made to about 30 Kia stealerships to see who’ll play ball. And you just keep looking until someone gets close and then negotiate with them. Definitely look in the ‘non EV states’ (like AR, AL, OK, NE) if looking for an EV, where they have an in-stock car that’s been sitting there for a long time.

Also, when you look on autotrader, look for new AND some mileage - 1k or 2k miles ideally - which probably means a demo car that they can’t sell.

You can totally do this!! It’ll take some work but it’ll be totally worth it in the end!
