Deal Check: 2024 Ford 150 Lightning

I am pretty sure this deal can be bettered, thought of taking inputs:

(no deal sheet yet but some numbers)

Lightning FLASH
MSRP 73000
Discount 5.2
MF (edmunds says lower) 3.23% (1.23%)
RV is the same 68%
Payment 780/mo 24/12
DAS first payment
Rebates added $6500
excluding is the federal EV Rebate. (how do we make sure that we would get that)

I am not sure of the dealer fees and extras right now but here is a first attempt at the calculator

Does ford do base MF? I am going to try that but not sure, and if they do it then the deal changes the calculator

TAX credit offered as well

I wonder what is the average discount on these and how I can do better?

You dont get it.

Leases don’t get a federal ev rebate. They get whatever incentives the bank offers. That may include an incentive they call a federal ev rebate because the bank got one when they bought it to lease to you, but you only get what the bank offers.

On the flash, that doesn’t include a $7500 ev credit.

I am not sure I get it. Unfortunately, there is no sheet so yeah 5.24% discount and they did say that there is an additional rebate of $7500 and that is how they got the numbers but I can’t picture the rebate applied in the numbers while trying to make $780 in the calculator.

Are you suggesting the FLASH doesnt qualify for the rebate?

The Flash has a $3500 rebate with a $2000 extra, Ford is not giving $7500

No standalone $7500 that I see.

This list is nice. Ford website?

I guess they played a dealer thing. I will insist on the sheet. What do you think about the discount? I am going to try for 8-9% but then Fords dont lease well, maybe because of the discount offered?

Understood, thanks. What do you think about the discount? I guess base MF is a mandate for me, really don’t want to pay 800 looking at the rebates.

There are lots of data points on here for flash leases. For a deal with TX sales tax credits, this seems incredibly expensive. I’d start by looking at those and identifying what’s different.

This is a total waste of time.

You need to put together a well-researched target deal to establish what this should cost, not ask a dealer how much they want you to pay. Dealers can only play dealer things if you ask them to.

Fair

I checked edmunds for MF/RV/Incentives and then discount percentage is something I am working on this forum comparing other leases (getting mixed thoughts on the discounts lower than this). What is that I am missing? I can go back and state the calculator BUT not sure what more should I be researching for?

It’s not a question of qualifying. There’s almost no qualifications for the tax credit that goes to a lessor.

They’re just passing on an amount that’s different from $7,500.

I just signed a flash lease and the rate I got on a 10.5k/36mos lease was .88. Maybe it’s different for 24mos, but I do know your credit score has to be above a certain number to qualify through FMC. I agree with the others, this isn’t a great deal. You should be shooting for a base payment around $500 before tax, but again that is for 36mos.

I love trying to decipher and determine eligibility for all 382 rebates FMC offers.

Out of the obvious ones.

What I see is a multitude of :

  • Who you work for Rebate
  • What letters you get from Ford Rebate
  • How old is the truck on the lot Rebate
  • What vehicle do you own Rebate

I generally do 24s but then I did test the waters on 36/12 and yes the MF is 0.88% but I assume they are jacking the MF here as well considering the rates offered to me were around $680

What percentage discount were you able to secure?

$7250 discounted with $7550 in stackable rebates.

Yo forgot that he also moonlights at the local UAW as a janitor.

Another dealer another quote

7500 passed as rebates, 10.5k miles.

I am super not sure what they are doing with the federal ev tax credit. summed up the license and taxes in the gov fees.

Thoughts?

Pretty nice for an XLT. About par here for deals.

If you can get them to break 10%, that would make it a steal.
