It is practically impossible for us to tell you what a “good” monthly payment is for your specific lease as lease programs are highly dependent on region, personal qualifications, tax rates, etc.

We always recommend the following method before you ever contact a dealership. If you do all of the work up front, you’ll have a stress free dealer experience and set yourself for success.

  1. Read Leasing 101 (EDITORIAL | LEASEHACKR) to understand how to calculate a lease payment and the variables. Monthly payment is an output, not an input!! While you’re at it, be sure to watch the LH video (How to Use Leasehackr - YouTube) to brush up on how to most efficiently use the resources here.
  2. Pick a specific vehicle that you want to target
  3. Gather the current MF, RV and incentives from the LH Calculator - Lease Program Query or Edmunds forums for your zip code
  4. Research the LH marketplace and other deals that have been made recently on your vehicle - what was their pre-incentive discount? How did their lease terms differ?
  5. Plug your numbers into the LH calculator (CALCULATOR | LEASEHACKR), and use a pre-incentive discount similar to what you have seen
  6. Create a target deal, this is what you’re trying to negotiate to. You can try different terms, selling price discount, etc. and see how your monthly payment is affected. It is also possible that different trims of your vehicle may have different MF and RV (i.e. this is very common with GM), so make sure that you look into that. Come up with a set of inputs that give you the output that you want - your desired monthly payment.

With a target price determined, you now have a deal to pursue and compare dealer offers against. More importantly, you have a solid foundation to work from.

Have You compared Your quote to those from the marketplace on LH?

At quick glance, looks pretty bad for a demo, even in these current market conditions.

The T6 is discontinued and most of the deals on here are old, so hard to compare.

I love how the dealer makes it a nice round number at $600 and crosses out $639, making it look like he’s saving you $39 a month on the deal…

You get to drive a Swedish (made in China) fart car for only $600 a month. That and only $2500 out of pocket .

S60 is not made in China, FYI

Whatever… you get the point

Have you looked at broker deals in your area? Also, is there is specific reason you are looking for a T6 instead of a B5 AWD 2022 model?

So a $2k discount got you to $786, which means we can only assume the $600 is now… ~$8400 off? What is base MF and incentives?

What’s a “fart car”?

I was looking for a T6 because B5 is weak.

The T6 you are considering

Have you driven both of them?

Weak for what? If you think T6 will be on par with 340 then you are wrong.

Had a S60 T5, driven a T6, and and former BMW S55 owner. You’re wrong on that part, the only reason I’d have picked a T6 in the past would’ve been awd which they’ve added to the lower trim now.

The differences are very very negligible in my eyes.

the supercharger in the t6 does give it a nice kick to start, especially in sport mode. in comfort, agree, no difference.

After having a T6, I would choose the T5 due to power delivery. The T6 had a weird dip at mid level RPMs, the T5 felt linear and smoother. Plus now you get AWD with T5, so I think it’s worth it.

The OP deal is much too high, even in this market. Do you qualify for any incentives, or is the $2k discount just from the dealer for being a demo?

An S60 demo for anywhere close to this is a non-starter.

So back to the drawing board:

What are your must-haves in your next car?
What’s your budget?

Possibly the difference in hp/tq output without the supercharger. There’s a large gap in the driving experience between the 2 cars.
