Can dealers change the residual value? What’s the best term to lease a Jeep?

This was also with no negotiation, just online price.

No. If the rv doesn’t match what it should be, verify which bank they’re using. Different banks have different rvs.

Did you actually speak to anyone or is this all just from some online quote?

went in, test drove and spoke numbers… this was their first offer. First time looking into leasing

So I have been looking for another gladiator for the last couple months so I am deeply ingrained in the Jeep market right now.

First off, you aren’t getting a good deal unless it’s 10% off MSRP before incentive. Which brings me to my second issue, I don’t know where they are getting a $2,500 rebate from. In your zip code, there is only $1,500 rebate on the willys.

I leased a Sport S when they first came out and was able to get 5k off of a 45k sticker so you still have some room. But you need to get them to break out the rebates for you to see if it’s something that you actually qualify for or if they’re making a mistake. Also, the best terms are 24 and 36 months residual wise. Don’t put any cash down and ask them for 24 and 36 moth options. Hope some of this helps.

Saying this for your own good. Before something happens in the finance office.

The best place to start is

Please read links in there such as “how to calculate payments” and other helpful articles.

It might seem like a lot but TBH there are fewer <60 minute exercises which will save you so much time, money and anxiety over your driving lifetime.

It may also save you (after your negotiations with LH input) inside the finance office where no one can from the internet can really help you.

Remember, it’s almost impossible to reverse-engineer the math starting from the output (monthly payment) and figure out if it’s a good deal. Start at the beginning.

According to Edmunds lease forum, the residuals in my area for Willys are:

39 months = 72
36 months = 74
24 months = 80

They hit me at a 68 + 1 = 69 % @ 39 months

Did you verify which bank is being used?

I believe its US Bank

Edmunds numbers are for chrysler capital. They don’t give us bank numbers.

Where do you get this from? Invoice on this 45k car he’s listed is about 4%. Do you really think theres still another $2700 in holdback?

im at 7.4% off before negotiation

Quite a few volume dealers throughout the country are offering 7-8% under invoice which works out to 10-12% off MSRP. I have specifically worked with Criswell in Maryland but there is also Gupton in Tennessee. They structure a no hassle 8% under invoice by a standard 4% under invoice + 2% using CCAP + 1% under with an FCA control number.

Signing up and making a $100 donation for treadlightly gets you the 1% under with the FCA control number. Just have to wait 30 days to receive it

This is how I’m doing it, it makes it a lot easier to order exactly what you want because the pricing is cut and dry. That being said, people are still getting better deals than this from time to time. But I use this as “you should Atleast be getting this” because it’s so easy.

This was my deal from last year when they first came out. There were no incentives back then and I still got almost 12% off MSRP.

The Truck Details:

This sounds an awful lot like incentives to me

With the rebate they’re offering (2500) it looks like I’m getting a total of 13% off msrp

Like I said earlier. There isn’t $2,500 in rebates for the gladiator right now. There is $1,500 lease cash.

Also, the rebates don’t come from the dealer, so if I could get them to 10-12% off MSRP, you should be able to as well, THEN stack the rebate on top of it.

Sooooooooo… how does that hurt?
