Any other luxury (comparable to the EQS 450 sedan) exotic car for $100k or less?
You should start a separate thread, your questions are quite different to the OP’s.
They drop a lot initially but they seem to hold pretty well once that first year or two passes.
991.2 GT3 is where I’d go too (and went). Comfortable enough for a 3500 mile road trip, goes anywhere a normal car would if you spec the nose lift, and oh the noise. If you need more attention the RS will do all the same stuff in a little less comfort (but without a manual option).
Either is nearly as likely to appreciate as depreciate- my Touring did very well.
Optioned out RS3
It’s like the rich man’s Miata
M8 coupe is an option but is not considered exotic
I have one and i daily it and i love it (power luxury and all the tech needed)
Also consider the new maserati quat or the new DB12 coming out soon if you can wait and willing to eat the depreciation
nice miata bro @DailyDriven
Don’t the non-special-edition mclarens depreciate like boat anchors? They’re pretty good looking. My current aspirational car is a Lotus Emira.
yes sir
There’s just nothing better than a 911 for a daily driver super car. Turbo is bonkers fast and immensely comfortable. Even the base has lots to love. I’ve had M3s, Ferraris, AMGs and there’s nothing that strikes the perfect balance like a 911 as a daily.
Audi R8 and Nissan GTR have entered the chat
I have a 992 turbo S. It’s not an exotic but it gets attention like one. I take it to Home Depot, pick up the kids in it from school and generally drive it to the supermarket and gym when I don’t feel like driving our other cars. Did the lambo thing and it was too much of a headache here in nyc. I’d get an r8 if I had to do v10 all over again. I’m currently in the market for a 991.2 GT3 for something more raw and manual. For some odd reason I also find myself liking the mc20 as I think it’s a beautiful car. Don’t really like the price of it but will go check one out before I buy the GT3.
Honestly the G63 is the answer I think.
@Fausterion what’s the blocker for a G-Class for you?
Still think the e63s wagon is the answer…significantly cheaper than a typical “exotic.” Same performance, flies under the radar, all the space/storage of an suv, but handles way better.
Why not try to scoop up this 2013 Aventador in Houston.

From the article: The 691-horsepower Italian supercar will be auctioned off on August 2 at 10:00 a.m. Offers will be cash only, “NO EXCEPTIONS,” according to a department Facebook post. No reserve price is listed.
I’m actually debating between NSX vs. 911 vs California T for a DD. NSX is probably what will have the lowest maintenance costs of the 3 + may also depreciate the least of the three (debatable).

keeping the rabble out
I found a 2013 on sale for $270k. If I had $250k cash, I would fly down to Houston to place a bid on the Lambo.
R8 or NSX. I’ve had several NSXs and they drive like an Accord around town and like a bat out of hell when you push it. Exhaust sounds like crap but you can get an aftermarket if needed. The 3 electric motors eliminate turbo lag.
R8 is also very drivable for everyday use. It feels a little heavier than the NSX but the exhaust sounds great. I ordered one of the final production R8s.
I think both the R8 and NSX will hold their value relatively well. And since they are made by mainstream OEMs, extended warranties and service are relatively affordable.
With $200-$300k budget, 992 GT3 hands down. Get 18 way seats for your driving comfort. There is no substitute.
