Chevy volt lease deal

Went to a dealer today and was quoted a lease price for a 2018 Chevy volt premier. Because I am through replace your ride program I have to put down the 9500 and with that the monthly came out to be 300 with tax and fees. Mrsp was 40k. Is this a good deal?

You have to put down $9,500? If that is correct then it is not a good deal of any sort.

Correct they said since its part of replace your car deal there’s no discounts that can be applied and all of the 9500 has to be used as a down

That’s the worst Volt deal I have heard of. I don’t mean to be harsh but it really seems they are trying to fleece you. Which state/area are you in?

Dealers that participate in the RYR program know what your special incentive/down payment, so they don’t discount their cars at all when doing one of those deals. That kinda makes the whole RYR program dumb. Here’s a quote from someone on here that did a RYR deal last year.

Where are you from? Two of my friends want leases in SOCAL and I got much better quotes.

van nuys keyes chevy

van nuys keyes chevy

That was with about 2-3 hours of negotiation.

go to another chevy dealer. 9500 down, just sounds horrible.

You all are not understanding the Replace Your Ride program. The OP is NOT paying $9500 for the down.

Edit: Heh, I accidentally left out an important word. Corrected my statement that the OP is NOT paying the $9500 down.

$9500 down / $300 tax inc a month…

Umm… Why would you do that?
Whats the “replace your ride program” all about?

Assuming 36 month.

9500 down + 300x36 = $20300… Does not look good to me.

Could they do a One Pay and use the RYR to pay for a portion of that? Haven’t been following closely, but aren’t Onepays about 9k now with incentives? Back out the ones OP doesnt qualify for and pay the rest. Even if there is no discount from msrp, should not chevy ge passing through all the rebates?

They are taking you for a ride. It’s not true that discounts are not applicable because of RYR. It’s just that they don’t want to apply the discounts. Tell them that or take your business elsewhere. In RYR your options are pretty limited but they aren’t zero. That’s what I did.

For anyone looking for a good deal on RYR with good or bad credit:
You can find a good deal just have to do research on the approved dealerships. Jim’s auto sales willing to work with you. Ex: $13,000 chevy volt w $9500 down, pay monthly $189 monthly - not bad. No additional down n doesn’t ask for that payment right away - plus pretty decent car.

post needs to revived for the newbies. :smirk:
