I decided to jump on one of these and do it for the culture. Total cost should end up lower ($1,824.60) after I apply my GM Reward points. They were not willing to do it, they said they weren’t compatible with supplier even though I seemed to have evidence to the contrary. Regardless, I believe I should be able to apply them as a statement credit towards the card balance since you can do that on a dealership spend (Update: it worked). EV reg fee is a little dicey too, they didn’t hit me with the full amount so I may be getting a call from the DMV but I will worry about that when the time comes.
MSRP: $51,695
Sales Price: $46,695 (9.67% off)
Rebates: $4,500 (Costco, EV conquest, Bolt Loyalty, Supplier)
GM Rewards: $1,825.40 (Applied post sale as a statement credit)
DMV: $260.50
Doc: $895
Tax: One last hurrah on the NJ sales tax exemption
I really like how the color pops in the light, although I have a coworker who busted my chops and called it a Grimace Mobile. He’s got a lot of nerve though, considering that he’s got an OBS Chevy truck that’s literally like 90s purple
Thanks again to the community, hopefully there’s some more deals to be had on these this month! Special mention to @ChevyGuy, @RPChevyDealer and @chevysalesgirl who are all excellent resources on this forum. It’s a shame that we don’t have as much engagement here on the east coast from GM dealers vs what some other regions have. I might not have to bang my head against the wall as much every time I start searching for a dance partner.
Its not really about having a relationship, I’ve never bought a car from this particular dealership before. Its really impossible to replicate this with only Costco. You’re $3,500 behind the 8 ball without the other incentives. You should target $5,000 or so off MSRP before incentives and then roll with whatever incentives you qualify for. While I do believe that many dealerships are motivated to move these at a substantial discount, I don’t think that $8,500 in dealer discount will be happening anytime soon.
I got one yesterday, out of state. They quoted me one pay $4500. I drove five hours sat in a dealership for 4 hours, then they told me they calculated it wrong $6000. Said it was something about the taxes, which could be true because my tax rate is 5% higher than theirs, but I thought I paid the taxes, not them. at that point, I was exhausted, and it was still a decent deal, but not a steal. I got denied for the credit card, which I read was not uncommon.
They quoted me 5000 off MSRP, and it looks like they adjusted it To 4100 off.
My question is, is there a separate one pay lease? They said it’s a Wells Fargo lease, but doesn’t mention anything about a 1 pay like all my other one pays I’ve done.
Hard to say without seeing the contract details. I wasn’t aware of Wells Fargo offering leases but it could be possible. I believe that GM Financial has some kind of relationship with Wells Fargo but I don’t know all the details of that.
