Chevy Blazer EV LT w/sunroof, $3,700 24/10k One Pay ($1824.60 after GM Rewards)

So the gambit worked, I was able to apply all of my GM rewards as a statement credit on my card since I charged the One Pay to my GM card. This was actually a little more favorable to me since I was also able to use the bonus points I received for the new vehicle purchase. This brings the total out of pocket cost to $1874.60, effectively $78.10 per month. I will also be receiving another 15,000 rewards bonus for meeting the spend threshold on a promotion they were running on the card.

Yea this thing is all jacked up, and will not get funded. I knew when signing that if it was incorrect, it wouldn’t get funded and we would just rewrite it. I am a little anxious about the total amount to be paid by the end of the lease, but for certain the agreed-upon price is accurate, so I know that’s not possible.

One crazy thing it looks like they did is take the manufacturer rebates and apply them to my down payment area.

My understanding is that a dealer has to take the rebates and use them as customer cash on these in order to get them to fund. If applied as a cap cost reduction with that residual and dealer discount the deal will not fund due to negative depreciation. If this was supposed to be a One Pay it doesn’t look totally right to me but I’m sure they will get it straightened out.

Yes, just looking at a hacker posted contract on signed and they did the same.

I believe you can use the rebates more than once. You would need to request another authorization code from Costco, I don’t know if those are limited or not.

Did the same thing on my Lyriq

Did you have reward points from a previous purchase on the GM card? Or was it from the Blazer one pay?

I earned 10,339 for leasing the Blazer and I was able to apply them to the statement credit. I had around 170,000 in the account already and used those too.

Hi all,

I have a request. Can someone share the lease contract? I am getting a run around from the dealers and they keep asking for an actual contract so they can match it

In the case of replicating this deal you would have to get $5,000 in dealer discount plus the incentives you qualify for ($4,500 total in my case). At the end of the day either they are willing to discount the car that deeply or they aren’t, just find another dealer if you can’t get a discount that you are happy with. They don’t need to see anyone’s contract to do that. FWIW, based on your other posts I would not recommend leasing this car for the purposes of buying it out later. There’s no way that it will be worth the buyout price at the end of the lease.

This is a great question

Ah yes I see you skip the drinking while sending offers and go straight to the hangover

Some of my best dealer emails have been composed after a few beverages :joy: I math better when I’ve had a few.

I was also able to apply points (from the GM credit card) into my one pay BlazerEV payment too. I was very surprised they let me do this since I hadn’t completed the transaction yet. (ie 10000 points came from the BlazerEV lease that I was still completing paperwork for.)
In total, I was able to bring my one pay from $4333 to $4100 odd using additional past rewards. There isn’t a way I could’ve done better than this in the Bay area - where lots of folks are content paying $5000 and $6000 one pays and dealers don’t have to offer deep discounts.

Considering that you pay taxes on these in CA vs the current (but ending) situation in NJ I think you did just fine.

It Most certainly will not be worth the residual as it is artifically inflated with the $7,500 EV credit So GM financial will write off against it 2 yrs down the road.
It might be worth the residual less the $7,500 and less the Used EV credit on it in 2 yrs.
Will GM Financial then get to get the $4,000 USed EV creidt in 2 yrs too?
or dies that expire. I don’t remember all the rules of the Inflation Reduction Act.
if so Thats why GM can take a hit on these and over a 2 yr lease becasue they will get Both of the EV credits.

Nice. Reminds me of my Bolt lease in 2020. Between ridiculous incentives, one-pay and NJ’s $5k post-sale rebate at the time I wound up being paid around $100/month to drive the car. Goodbye to all that, sadly.

When I saw the contract I knew it was not a valid contract - I was just waiting for the rest of the crew to catch up

In Cal you can not use Cap Cost Reduction Rebates to cover Drive offs - That is what they did

The dealer has to cover drive offs out of dealer profit if you do not have enough cash to cover them.

The way they do this is if you gave $1200 Cash but your driveoffs were $1500 you would typically see the dealer discount offered reduced by the amount of driveoffs they have to pay

Example - $3000 DD Driveoffs are $1500 - Customer gives $1200 Cash -

Contract would show $2700 Dealer Discount and $1200 Cash - All rebates would be used as Cap reduction - the Dealer would in this case be responsible to pay the upfront fees (Driveoffs) That were not collected

Please Read the Threads that refer to what you need to have in order to qualify

So just got a blazer EV, thinking about getting a second one. Still have a pathfinder lease, I believe that I can use a second Costco code, Do you know if I can use the same $1000 current leases, and $1500 non gm product? Also had a dealer just tell me that I couldn’t use them within a 30 day period, and that it had to be an EV lease which I told them they were wrong, Not sure about the 30 days part.
