There is a good Ioniq 5 lease here offered by a broker. They also have a good ID4 lease but I think the Hyundai is a better deal.
So more expensive than using a Tesla super charger.
@Visions138 Also, certain brands of EVs come with a free 2-year plan of charging which can help offset costs.
Maybe one day Tesla will I’ll lease really good. I thought about a used one for now with free super charging.
I think that’s a great point. I know with my Audi I think I had 1000 kW for free which I still probably have plenty left. It’s just so inconvenient.
Solid point. I just upgraded my solar system again so now I have 33 panels on my house but I’m getting about 76mpge I looked it up and some of the new cars like the IONIQ 5 get 110ish.
I was just hoping to make a list. These are all great points though. Thanks to everyone’
What do you think of a model 3 lease? $350 a month plus $5K upfront?
I just think putting money down on a lease it’s just wild.
I never put anything down besides drive off, but it might be an option for some people.
I would buy a model three I just don’t qualify for the $7500 rebate and that’s the sweet spot.
I’m sure as 2024 comes around. An inventory gets heavier as it is now will start seeing some really epic lease deals.
I was able to negotiate an effective 692 a month lease for an EQE (MSRP: 83,400) for 24 months @ 10k miles a year. That meant 10,500 down payment which includes 7000 in refundable deposit and 570 a month payment. There’s no other lease deal that is as sweet to offer an 80k+ vehicle for less than 700 a month.

oh yah 66 on weekdays…sigh, 3 years ago that was half the price (before they went Solar)
So based on my daily LH visits, for SoCal, t looks like for similar size vehicles (Niro and Kona are on the small side), the best EV deals (around $500 with $0 DAS depending on terms)::
Ioniq 5 (2 years free EA charging)
ID.4 (3 years free EA charging)
Ariya (1 year free EVGo charging)
Maybe the BZ4X (1 year free EVGo charging)
But this all depends on how August leases are.
The free charging is important because not everyone has access to home/work charging and electricity is expensive in SoCal unless you have solar.
@rubbergash just posted a nice deal on the Soltera
2023 Subaru Solterra Premium
36 Months
10K
$0 Down ($1789 Drive Offs)
$377 Per Month Plus Tax.
I did see that but Solterra only has $400 EVGo credits which is probably around 6 months worth of just public charging. It’s okay with a combo of home/work charging.
The knock on the Solterra and the BZ4X is their charge rate is slow, from 10% to 80% in about an hour. The Ariya is about 35 minutes and the ID.4 is around 30 minutes.
Compare that to the Ioniq 5 and EV6 at 18 minutes (except the EV6 free charging program is bleh).
Playing around with the Ariya, at least here in Colorado the base model has $6000 cash and lease for about mid $300’s with tax and zero DAS, that’s with a 5% discount. The base model is nicely equipped too, another one to keep on the radar, below $300 and I consider it an excellent deal. The calculator only shows $1000 bonus cash for the base model and not the $5000 Innovative Motor Vehicle Credit that Nissan’s site shows. This car is a huge step up from the Leaf.
I have seen a number of positive Ariya reviews as well. Base model with a nice % off MSRP and I assume NMAC passes on the $7,500 EV credit. I wonder if there is a Nissan Loyalty program for the Ariya since I have had a Leaf for almost ten years. Is there a Nissan broker on here that covers CA - I am based in SF Bay Area.
It looks like NMAC is not passing the entire $7500 to the customer, but there is some other $1000 incentive, and at least one person got 9% off MSRP to score a pretty good lease - SIGNED: 2023 Nissan Ariya | MSRP $44,735 | 36/10K | $342 /mo without tax | DAS $2,000 + $0 MSD - #6 by BigNerd. It’s NorCal, so you can reach out to the OP of that post to see if you can replicate the deal without a broker.
Nmac did pass it on as a cap cost reduction, but did not allow lease buyouts. They now allow lease buyouts, but apply the tax credit on the back end.
I don’t see any Fed credit for leases in the LH Super Supporter calculator, there is a $500 loyalty for Nissan and also a $1000 Nissan lease loyalty.
There is a Cali broker for Nissan here @Jeff_BeachCitiesAuto
