Charge Up New Jersey Year 2

This is exactly what I said would happen: participating NJ Hyundai dealers are removing Hyundai lease credits (Hyundai Financial oddly allows them to pocket the $7,500 lease credit) and making cars such as the Ioniq more expensive to lease with the $5,000 NJ Charge Up rebate:

Edit: to be fair, programs did recently change over so if the calculator doesn’t adjust back within a few days and reflect the Hyundai lease credits then they’re going the extra mile of adjusting the calculator so customers don’t go in trying to combine all available rebates. Last I checked payments on the Kona and Ioniq were ~ $200/month cheaper to lease without cash down compared to now with $5,000.

Was this a 2020 Niro EV with the $13,600 + the $5K?

So, I’m pretty much waiting right now to see what happens with Chevy. The wife has decided that the Bolt EUV is “cute” and I’ve been told that is what we’re getting. Waiting to see an actual Bolt EUV show up or be available with Super Cruise.

I’d really prefer to see the new Kona or new Niro be available sometime soon, but even clicking on links for the 2021 Niro brings me back to the 2020 page.

I signed on July 6th under the June programs was $12,5k + $5k NJ. Not sure on residuals or MF changes for July

I don’t think any change between 2020 and 2021 Niro. Hoping 2022 they update with some of the new technology that is being used on the EV6 / Ioniq 5 models

Kona was too small, liked the Niro better than the Leaf, however @aronchi SV+ deals were good and were my back up if I wasn’t able to get the Niro.

2020 Niro EV EX?

Out of curiosity what did the payment end up being on the Niro? Robert De Niro.

Was looking at Cooper SE but BMW not offering leases on these cars. Hoping for a deal on the VW ID4?

Yes 2020 ex. Got the last one, there might be 2020 premiums left. Manahawkin Kia - I worked with Chandler. Not sure how many Niro EVs they might have left now.

Matt Blatt Kia appeared to have some left as of earlier this week.

yep - confirmed, the xc40 p8 should not be on that list. sub-55k is an impossible spec to get.

@ quacky88

what is your monthly looks like?

A ~4% discount gets you to $180 with first DAS on a 2020 EX

and the Phase 2 is effective, as you might already know. Just wanted to share a quick deal my friend got on a 2021 Bolt Premier (with a black bow tie! :)) in NJ: $5200 one-pay lease for 12K miles/36mo, post-POS $5K rebate. It looked like they sold all Bolts within a day, so I was told.
Although it is not what we managed to get in the fall, it’s still a pretty good deal, for $144/mo and $0 fees.
Go, NJ EVs!

I am new to the forum but interested in a similar bolt deal. Would you mind sharing the name of the dealership or any info that might be useful?

My friend got it at Seacoast Chevy in Ocean. As I see, they are out of 2021 models already, but have plenty of 2022 that are by almost 10K cheaper, also incl. EUV. I do not know what lease terms and incentives apply to 2022, other than $5K NJ Chargeup rebate though. Costco is N/A, according to the dealer.

Here are the available 2021 Bolt model incentives:

  1. GM Financial Supplier Lease $5000
  2. Chevy CCR (?) $1000
  3. Lease Loyalty $1500
  4. Costco $3000
  5. College Grad $500
  6. NJ Rebate $5000

The payment on the Ioniq Limited becomes more realistic once the Hyundai lease incentive is factored in. Whether dealers will honor this is another question.

Two years ago dealers were acting like they were doing us a favor by honoring the calculator, and some wouldn’t even pass on the entire incentive. Apparently some Hyundai dealers have a terrible pay plan since the salesman told us later on he was trying to get 5% of gross by overcharging for the car. Getting somebody to pay $500-$1,000 over MSRP in a normal market to make $25-$50. Makes sense.

Is that for the EUV? That seems like a surprisingly nice EV with 247 miles of range.

The EUV is a 2022, I’m guessing no
