Too much info missing such as sales price for example
well they didn’t give more details … the advertised msrp is 49K for this car and is a fully loaded c300 2018.
Here we go again… $49k is not fully loaded, $61k probably is.
sure … not ‘fully loaded’ …
But what’s your take on the lease?
Without more information it’s really hard to help you. However, on the surface, it looks like a bad deal to me.
You should figure out what the incentives, MF, and residual are in your zip code. Figure out if you qualify for fleet discount and check what the sales price of the car is.
Also, factoring in that there was a refresh for MY19 c-classes, you should be aiming for a much bigger discount (again, hard to tell without more information - but I’m going to compare with what other deals have been posted here). With MB, you can also use MSD’s to lower your interest, which you should be doing if you have the cash to spare.
Same as @305Hackr’s
I am new to leasing to bear with me.
I know selling price, MF and RV matters … but even if I don’t know these numbers exactly … doesn’t this deal seem good with just 430/mo with a 49K msrp car? Some deals I am seeing posted here are for 45 - 47k msrp
To get to a 430/mo using the leasing calculator, it gives a pretty high score …
It’s not good deal, as you put $2k drive off, make the monthly about $480.
Yes it’s within 1%. But 2018 C300 can have for less.
If 2019 C300, I think it’s good, but not 2018.
Pretty much what sygg said. You’re ignoring the variables for your specific make and model.
A 1% deal on a brand model (e.g. the 2019) is likely to be a great deal.
A 1% deal on an outgoing model (e.g. the 2018) is not always a great deal.
Sure, the payment for the MSRP is fine, but you could probably cut it 10-15%.
I guess it is hard for someone to say - Leasing C300 base/stripped down. It’s better to convince oneself it is loaded/fully loaded…
This is very similar to the MSRP my $49k C300 is with the following options:
Probably has similar/same as that…
Mine was a loaner, and got it for $345/mo (incl. tax) + ~$500 in drive-offs + ($4000 MSD). I would consider that a heck-of-a-deal that probably isn’t easily reproducible.
1% deal is typically based off of drive offs, have you seen more than 21% off MSRP?
Do you mean 36% off total? Because he’s at 21% seems like a great discount
No, I meant 15% off the monthly payment.
His MF is marked up & residual value isn’t what Edmunds is showing. Also his drive off doesn’t come close to what he disclosed. Something about his numbers doesn’t add up.
If you roll everything in and just pay MSD’s as drive off, you can get a 380 payment/month inclusive of tax with only 3.2K MSD DAS based on his discount. With no MSD’s, his payment should be $420 with $0 drive off.
effectively 26% off msrp, that would be killer but rather difficult haven’t seen 26% off.
He doesn’t need any additional discount… Just changing the framework of the deal.
His calculator numbers were off on the RV for 10K miles (57% instead of 56%). If he gets rid of the marked up MF and uses MSD’s, he’ll save 25% off the total lease cost without getting any more discount.
AH! misunderstood, that makes sense.
Feel this is fitting for this thread:
All the number in there are his mark up to get the payment.
Yeah 1% with no drive off is better than typical 1%. But I know for c300, usually you can get much lower (like 0.8%-0.9%) especially with MSD.
