I think the difference is you are the dealer, not the broker and you don’t charge a fee. You can give the same discounts to people who walk in or come from this site.
Anyone who’s stupid enough to try to go around the broker figuring out the dealer they work with and potentially getting blacklisted by brokers probably isn’t a great client anyway. I would assume like Jim and IAC said, it’s pretty easy for delaers/brokers to sniff these people out.
So much righteous indignation. And talk about biting the hand that feeds you. Pretty sure you have your “livelihood” because of this community, not the other way around. Don’t want to post calculators, prefer an opaque business model? You do you. Dealing with competition in the form of other brokers or customers looking for willing dealers is the cost of doing business, applicable to ANY business. If you can’t handle the heat, get out of the kitchen. Haha disparaging the same people who give you your platform to earn a living is definitely not very smart.
The anti-consumer sentiment seems to be running rampant on here lately. Thankfully threads like these can help weed out the good from the bad.

This website works for brokers in the same way dealers, we get mini deals here. But people outside of this website that want the white glove service, delivery, etc pay a huge premium for that. Most don’t do their research and brokers likely offer them just under what they would pay if they went into a dealer blind. So easy to make 2-5k a car in that aspect. Or 4-10 leasehackr deals.
Pretty sure he does fine without leasehackr. But the volume deals we pick up here def make it worth advertising on this website. Also helps out dealers move more cars in turn getting us better pricing to offer…

Im a huge proponent of brokers and have used them on several occasions myself. Not knocking the profession one bit. Anyone who has spent more than 5 min on this site does not need a broker to post a calculator in order to determine the deal they are advertising. I wouldn’t care about that one way or another. But to disparage this entire community, and act like he’s doing charity work, because he can’t handle the cost of doing business is ridiculous.

For sure and I see both sides. It’s very frustrating to spend hours talking to someone over days, weeks months only for them to take your numbers to a dealer, sometimes your own. But as you said that’s just part of the business. This website wasn’t designed for us, so just part of the game.

I have leased with bargain basement brokers here and have always got white glove service.
@AutoCompanion’s store gave me a few hundred dollars worth of OEM merch at delivery.

Nothing is free…cost is always built in somewhere.
1- Someone who is shopping a broker deal is going to have a helluva hard time matching it at another dealer.
2- Someone who is shopping a broker deal at the broker’s dealer will probably be reported back to the broker and blacklisted.
note: calculators are not needed for either of the above to occur so this already dismantles the predicate of this thread.
However, if #1 succeeds, then you are likely offering mediocre deals here. If #2 succeeds, then you need to worry about your relationship with your dealer more than your potential customer.

I mean if you’re unable to post a calculator, then at least post the discount amount. It just gets annoying when all you say is $199.99 per month lease when not telling us the miles, term, or other info needed.
