This is gonna blow your mind, actually competing and posting good deals helps you stand out and make money.
I am not gonna bring up a certain broker who was banned, but they are still posting bangers via email. You have brokers here who are posting the same car from the same dealership.
You are here paying for LH because there is a community here focused on getting good deals and understanding them. The consumers are getting something, you are getting something.
You literally just posted thanking LH. You ain’t doing charity bro.
That’s his decision. I’m just echoing what he told me. Last I remember, he was posting up numbers only. If he’s posting up Calculator links now, he’s making loads on shipping now.
I’m not trying to discuss a broker that isn’t here to fend for themselves
Transparency is key in knowing someone is getting a good deal, or at least not getting ripped off— which is this essence of the community. Not posting deal details is akin to a dealer not giving an offer via phone/email until you walk in or breaking down the details of the lease because of the fear they would shop around.
Plus, brokers have capitalized countless times on the community posting deals they scored for them to turn around and commercialize at scale…so it happens both ways.
Brokers provide visibility into what the market offers, provide easy deals to people who don’t want to put in the work and provide community info about mfg program/rebates/deal mechanics, all of the above three are valuable to this community.
I think the calculator is important for full transparency. I’m in PA and most NE brokers list deals with NY/NJ taxes which can change drastically when I adjust to PA taxes. Think about how many more people would need to reach out to get specific numbers for their region than do now which would drive you nuts. There’s already plenty of people commenting and asking for numbers for their zip now when the calculators are available. It’s so easy to figure out numbers specific to your region with the calculator is available. My $.02
