Informative site and thank you to all the contributors.
My first lease. Can someone help me with the calculator and advise if the deal is good? It is not adding up. The url to calculator is Here
Cash due 2999
36mths,12k $1069 mth
They want to bring the car tomorrow and get signature at delivery and they only gave me a single breakdown which is
Edmunds residual - .54
Msrp 85,245
Discount 7,728.02
Customer rebate $2500
Adjusted price 75,026
Tax (Florida) 4,758
Doc fee. 799
Registration and agency tag 599
If it is a good deal can I still ask to do the MSD? I do not want to get them upset. This site has been informative and it seems like a good idea
The only way I can get the calculator close is by marking up the MF to the max (.00082 to .00122) and also waiving the acquisition fee for a further MF hike.
In any event this is a horrible deal.
And yes, you can ask them to re-run the numbers with MSDs. Do not worry about “getting them upset”, any dealer that gets agitated or “upset” at having to re-run deal numbers is a dealer you don’t want to do business with.
That said, adding MSDs is just putting lipstick on a pig at this point.
Customer rebate is in the correct section, right?
I don’t understand why all brokers and dealers are saying they cannot get close to a deal that was 85k and brought to 75k
Your money factor should be .00099 if you submitted your credit application in September which it seems like looking at the residual value of 54% for 12k miles. October is .00082 and 53%.
Also incentives should go under taxed incentives.
You’re missing $995 acquisition fee
I’ll highly recommend full 7 MSDs. They’ll save you about $46 monthly and $1650 over 36 months.
Over 9% discount pre incentives is a good deal as long as it’s a new 2021 X7 and not a demo.
If the MF is marked up and there are other add ons inflating the price, the discount isn’t really 9%. They’re just showing a higher discount on paper and then charging all the money you saved back elsewhere.
They’re charging you more than double what the registration should be, and this looks like they’re charging tax up-front (unless it’s Autonation and they’re showing the tax for a purchase).
Where are they getting $2,500 in rebates, @Jam123? It’s $500 for lease, $1,000 for loyalty, $500 for lease-to-lease loyalty. Do you have PenFed or something? USAA will only work if you applied for the certificate prior to October 1.
Either way, I can get you 10% off and base MF on either in-stock or an order. The doc fee is $500, but there is $300 for a notary because wet signatures are required, but they’re also not going to inflate the registration cost by nearly $400.
Your residual was also 1% lower than it should be.
This is what it would look like on an equal MSRP, pending what those rebates are - more than $100 less per month. Your only other cost would be shipping and the broker fee, but you’d still be saving a ton of money.
@IAC There is tag fee of $450 and tag agency fee of 149 which is 599 combined. I thought these type of fees cannot be manipulated. I have no idea what the rebates are from.
Sorry, but registration in FL is about $250. My parents live in FL, and I have done a lot of deals there lately. A lot of Florida dealerships charge a nonsense $500 electronic filing fee too.
This may help some people. I am attaching the financial lease agreement to help people match up the lease calculator. I still am off by $2k+ on the total lease deal in the calculator
Maybe the pro’s can help. 2021 X7, dealer finance says .00122 MF and 54 residual.
According to my first post the pro’s say that with the 9% discount this is still a terrible deal. just showing to get the figures right with an actual lease agreement and to help others. Financial Lease Agreement Leasehackr Calculator
FL. no shipping.
Calculator is still off by 2k on the total lease. . It is tough for us new people to line up the items. We definitely learn alot from everyones input on this forum.
