Dealer should have told you be bring an insurance declaration and what needs to be on it. Or what other proof of insurance is needed

If you currently have a vehicle, your current policy should have a grace period for a new.vehicle purchase. If you don’t, you’ll need to sign up for insurance before taking delivery.

Yeah I figured as much since this is my first vehicle. I just sent a note to my dealer.
