Looking to get a good deal on Rivian. Any tips or advice is welcome. Looking for good suv and saw the Rivian. Cannot find information here. I assume you have to purchase / lease from Rivian. Please share your experience.
Thanks.

There’s no good way. They are offering 6500 down payment credit plus lease cash on their dual max pack with performance upgrade but in my opinion it’s still cost prohibitive.
A time machine to go back to last May/June to get a 2023 R1T.
R1S has never leased well
What was it last year. lol. What about w out Time Machine
Wait for them to improve their lease programs. Leasing is simply math. If you aren’t able to change/negotiate the sales price then the only inputs left relate to lease programs (rebates, mf).
Here’s mine from last year.
$3.3k DAS and $431/month + tax before state incentive.
I won’t get into the state incentive as it’s irrelevant if you don’t live in MA or your car MSRP is more than $78200.
But unless a promotion like that comes around again this brand just doesn’t lease well.
Currently even with their promotions you’re looking at $1000/month+
rivian is having a moment because of the great tesla migration, i can’t imagine there will be deals until that’s over. there’s no incentive to discount if you’re having no problems selling without a discount.
Check me but I believe their deliveries actually declined in q1. I’m not convinced it’s a migration vs just a general slowdown in demand. At least here in SoCal the market is already saturated with both brands. Basically those who wanted one already have one.
Wow. Interesting. The lease programs are horrible. Hope they improve soon.
I thought migration has finished? When do you think it will be over. I need a car in next 10 months.
probably once the R2 is out and nobody is buying R1 and they want to get rid of them like they did with the 2023 R1T but I imagine they lost money in those sales and would try to not have a repeat of it by finding ways to mitigate overproduction of R1 models by having the factory focus on R2. This whole Tesla migration thing is also completely overblown in my opinion as Rivian doesn’t currently make a Model 3 or Model Y competitor which is the overwhelming majority of Teslas so the only customers they can get from Tesla is Cybertruck and Model X buyers.
I’m looking to get out of my R1S lease if you’re interested. Selling it for $70,000 with 13,500 miles on it.
2024 Black R1S dual motor with large battery
I have a Rivian and really like it. A couple things not to like - the amount of time to get a service appointment. I would get another one but it feels like they are still ironing out the bugs from time to time.
As far as a deal, there are significant incentives from time to time. I think they will offer when the new model comes out, or towards end of year.
Thanks… how much are you paying? If you don’t mind me asking. No the deals are like 1k per month.
