Best high mileage lease for small-mid EV SUV

What’s everyone’s opinion or the math on a high mileage EV lease? Thinking about a small to midsized SUV…like 20k miles/yr high miles. Not hugely picky on car brand, just want the “best deal” I can find for to fit the needs. But don’t want to go over $600ish/month.

Looking at the whole picture with cost of insurance and cost of charging…I’m thinking the Mercedes EQB seems like a very realistic option with the mostly free charging…any others or thoughts?

Not EV-specific but Nissan has a nice flex leases with ability to buy miles at $0.1/mile at any time during leases which usually works out better than taking RV hits.

If there are good deals on Ariya I would look there

I think the Merc and BMW are the only ones who still offers free unlimited charging. (2 years)

The 250 is probably your cheapest bet as most BMWs are way out there in pricing.

If I remember right brokers have a $200 deal with 3k for a 7500 but I am not sure if Merc offers a 20k lease.

Wanted to stick with EV because of running/gas costs. But I’ll take a look at the Ariya s bit closer. Thanks!

I’m fine paying the $0.20/mile overage at the end. Or whatever the cost over mileage is…I just have to factor that in to the initial math and assume 20k miles/year

I would stick to the Merc as the free unlimited charging means $0 OOP for electricity / gas.
Where the Ariya (I have one btw) doesn’t have any free charging at all.

20k driving a year with free charging is will save you a lot of money.

That’s kinda where my head was at also

If OP lived somewhere with average electricity I don’t think that would be the play. Cost of Merc would be too much and pain of going out to charge not worth it.

But if your electric is gonna be 30 cents a KwH than the math is very different.

Ariya is an EV.

this months I don’t think Ariyas are any good.

Unless EA is close to your home or work, that free charging will get old real fast.

Personally, for that kind of mileage, I get a used 2-3 yo Ariya for $20-25k.

Very few EVs, if any, stlill include free charging. MB no longer includes it on any of their EQx models.

I thought they still give 30 mins free on the EQx’s?

This is in the Bay Area. EA is all over the place and super easy.

That’s another way of saying you’re assuming.

Just google it and look at an official MB site

Hello, Which BMW are your referring in $200 per month?

Mercedes eqb 250, bmws are more like $500

Keep in mind that the charging of the EQB is very slow. Most likely you get 75 kW per hour even with a 350 kW charger.

Free charging isn’t free, it’s a time suck. It’s much more convenient to charge over night at home

It can go up to 100, 30-80 around 30 mins

Just because it’s everywhere, it doesn’t mean there wont be a line :face_with_tongue:
