Best 1k/month lease deal in socal

Oh I know my car isnt an amazing, but it was a decent deal in the current environment. My last BMW was close to the same price and was $100/mo less with only half the upfront money. With that said last fall dealers were asking $900-950/mo for similar M340’s. This deal started in the $840’s, and $799 (inc tax) is where we ended up. It was below MSRP.

Assuming your last car was 3 years ago, and was only $100 less, I really don’t think you have any idea what you are doing. Please, next time, hire a broker (or spend 2-3 hours here learning how leasing works or has historically worked)

You’re 100% correct, 3 years ago I had zero idea what I was doing, heck I didn’t even know you could negotiate. I found this site late last year and I have read a lot of the basic info provided here. I tried a broker, but their deal was still more than Im paying.

I haven’t been tracking A4 prices, but base A4s/3-series are not going for $1K. I assume it was a bit of a joke?

Yes, it was

I wouldn’t say two years. I was still giving away etrons a little over a year ago before the hammer dropped on supply.

Oof, I would finance/purchase before I would lease a $60k car for $1k/mo.

I know how much everyone hates rules of thumb here, but for a given vehicle if my 36-mo lease cost more than 50% of what I can buy the car for, I’d finance it. Or put another way, if a monthly payment on a 72-mo finance is about the same as the lease payment, one is better off financing it.

Maybe you didn’t catch the previous reply, your deal is equivalent to $930 / month because you put 4k down.

Continuing the discussion from Best 1k/month lease deal in socal:

If I plug my numbers into the LH calculator it says my effective monthly payment is $863 and lease cost is $31082 (49%).

Of that $4k about $2k was “Down payment”, the rest went to cover fees, registration, acquisition fee ($925), mileage fee on previous lease ($450). Im in it now, and it is the car I wanted so I overpaid and that is annoying, but lessons learned for next time.
