Contract showing $60,129.
That’s not MSRP tho thats the built up cap…just curious on comparing his 55K selling price to MSRP.
Do you also have the deal sheet? This is the sheet before you get to this one- the one that lists 1) the MSRP, 2) the dealer discount, 3) the rebates, and 4) any added product you purchased.
The $7500 lease credit is a federal tax credit passed onwards by Audi Financial Services in your lease. Once the lease is funded / executed, there is no waiting period required to take advantage of it (technically you already did by signing the lease). You are free to send Audi Financial the money as soon as your account is added into the system and payoff your balance as indicated by AFS and you’ll own a Q4. I would cancel the Zurich products, though, through any means necessary. Usually this means an unpleasant conversation with the F&I person and some consistent follow up until the amounts are refunded, either as a credit on your loan balance or as a check cut back to you.
Resale value on these things have been hammered lately by the Tesla Model Y price reductions (ask me how I know…), but c’est la vie. It’s a good car that gets better the longer you have it and discover its little touches that make ownership pleasant (the tilt down side mirror, the rear seat legroom, etc.), and if you own it, the depreciation over 5-7 years won’t be that much worse than normal as other posters have noted.
If you need protection plans, I can get you one for probably half that!
The balls on the F&I guy double dipping AudiCare AND a third party service plan…
If it’s a Premium 50 that sounds… about right with all the Zurich add-ons if it doesn’t have the Convenience Package (Audi configurator shows $56-57k MSRP without Convenience or Black Optic).
Sounds like net of the adds under this assumption, the discount here was about $1-2k off MSRP. Oof.
Before you call the dealer, check your contract first. There should be a section about the addons and how to cancel. If it’s a third party protection plan you may have to call them directly.
OP said MSRP was 60000 originally but that sounds too ‘even’ to be real…if that is true he did get 5000 off MSRP with his sell price of 55000…but the Zurich adds nullify most of that except for about 1700.
$60k pre-adds must mean he has the Convenience Package and maybe a few other small items (metallic paint, the trailer hitch, etc.). So yeah maybe $5k off and then the third party adds. Still oof, but unfortunately not much that can be done about it now other than pay it off immediately and drive the wheels off of it.
OP, i wouldnt waste your money on any of those add ons, looks like they pressured you into plans that barely have much benefit for EV owners. You may be able to cancel then and get that refund back on those products.
First of all, Thank the heavens you are in California.
Second go pull out the documentation you got on Zurich Shield. There is a clause in it for “CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS” 888-835-5063 call that number and say, “I am a california resident, and I would like to cancel this contract under california 60 day law” Fill out the 1 page form, send it back to zurich. The dealer will be forced to send a check to Audi for $3235. That reduces your payoff.
The finance manager going to have a bad day you guys are animals ![]()

@mattevan wya
I’m thinking if OP calls finance he may now have a tire and wheel to get cancelled too. Lol
Hopefully they don’t try to “cancel” their plates ![]()
@audileasebad what dealer is this?
this happened to my friend and dealer kept the plates.
I mean my friend dicked them over by getting a massive discount and agreed to get $xxxx add on. So at the end he got back like $6000 when dealer THOUGHT they were making a killing on add on so they discount the car further
In California the car has to be registered within 20 days I believe and than they start racking up the fines ![]()
As long as it’s not our friendly LH- neighborhood Audi friends… meh… ![]()
I think you missed what I was trying to say, but it’s all good
Thank you so much!
