When I think of “light trucks” I almost always think immediately of a RAV4, a CR-V and a Model Y.
Sales of CR-V and hybrid vehicles remained strong, suggesting that Honda has resolved its supply chain issues. Honda is up 33.2% for YTD
Subaru is up 15.9% for YTD
Kia is up 15.1% for YTD
Hyundai is up 11% for YTD
You mean Hyundai is up 11%
And Honda has a PHEV? 24k of Electrified Vehicles?
Corrected it.
Honda exclusively provides self-charging hybrid vehicles.
So that’s their definition of Electrified aka Hybrid
Starting to think some of these legacy brands will never be successful in ev (EV Makers Turn to Discounts to Combat Waning Demand - WSJ) “Electric vehicles are now some of the slowest sellers on dealership lots. In September, it took retailers over two months to sell an EV, compared with around a month for gas-powered vehicles and only three weeks for a gas-electric hybrid”
Not until they figure out how to cut out their dealerships out of the equation. I’ve had multiple dealerships try to talk me out of even looking at EVs, outright lying about the product capabilities, etc…you have to really want to buy an EV to fight their bullshit, or go to brokers here or elsewhere to basically immitate dealerless experience.
You are absolutely correct. I still remember when we were looking for a new car back in 2004/2005 and the second-generation Prius was all the rage, especially among celebrities. Since we were in LA, we wanted to take a look at it and went to Longo Toyota, one of the largest Toyota dealerships in the country. However, the salesperson advised us against buying a Prius, citing reasons such as the expensive cost of replacing the battery pack, too many electronics, and overall poor product Toyota.
