Auto Sales Data

Dealers can charge whatever they want, and some THINK they can get it.

This is a free market, so they are free to charge whatever, and the government has no right to curtail it. But in the same free market, you can go to a different Ford dealer and pay less.

Solid numbers from HMC.

Honda had new Insights last year?

Sure did

Mercedes EQS sedan sales are down Y/Y… probably because they took away the 13 month lease specials from @derekoh1991 . EQE is probably cannibalizing EQ sedan sales too.

Don’t worry, it’s coming back. Soon MB will realize what they did

Lolol…

“Britta Seeger, Board Member of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, highlights the unwavering customer desire for their products. The high-end all-electric segment, notably the EQS SUV, enjoys immense popularity.”

Everybody wants that EQS SUV… But with DAS @ $2,000 and monthlies are $700 they’re still taking the IONIQ 5.

Solid EV numbers for Q3. Can we hit 400K for Q4?

56% of the cars sold were Teslas? No wonder CCS is being abandoned.

You should see how many of those cheap Teslas are on car carriers around the factory in Fremont, CA, headed to all points. They are cranking them out - 1/2” body gaps and all.

And it’s not remotely close. The Model Y outsold all full size pickups put together? It outsold the next three cars in its class combined? I’d have bet heavily against either of those last year. The price drops and tax credits appear to be working, much to the chagrin of those who bought this time last year I’m sure…

Not surprised. If I said that every fourth car is a Tesla, it wouldn’t be far from the truth at certain times of the day where I live in Carlsbad
