Asking for Help with my Lease Deal

,

Hello community!

I am based in Boston, MA, and recently looking to lease a BMW 4 series. I notice that there isn’t much inventory at the moment as BMW is currently switching from their 2024 to 2025 models. I was able to find one car that I’m interested, and here is the initial quote that the dealer offered:

I know for certain that this price is high, but I do wish to have some suggestions on what’s a good target to ask for? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What’s the point of paying double for a 4-door 3-series called a “430 GC” vs a 4-door 3-series called a 330?

I like 4 series’s outlook that’s all. My preference would be a 2-door coupe but unfortunately there isn’t much inventory available out there atm

I would suggest taking a look at what the broker’s are offering in the marketplace. That dealership is selling you the car at MSRP.

Look outside of Boston. I got my last car from an Audi dealer in Ohio because they saved me about $200/month on a 36 month lease, but it only cost $750 to have the car shipped to me.

You might also want to consider hiring a broker as they’ll more than save you than the $599 or so you’ll spend on them.

This is the kind of deal where the sales guys all high five each other afterwards. If this is the car you really want, first you need to find a dealer who will actually discount (at least 10%), but I strongly suspect you would be better off financing or looking for one slightly used (MMR $38k). You’re talking about renting a $57K car for $40K.

Not trying to hijack the thread but I’m curious on how did you manage to do that. MA has next to no brokers interested in working with its residents (other than local brokers, that is) and the RMV is a pain to deal with.
Did you docusign everything and mailed the plates to the dealer to have the car shipped or they just took payment after you signed it and sent the car unregistered for you to deal with the rest?

@Bostoncarconcierge works with people in MA, although I don’t know if he handles BMW.

The dealership in Ohio had some company they work with who handled the registration in MA for them. When the car got delivered it had temporary tags on it and a few weeks later the MA plates arrived in the mail. If I remember correctly, the temporary tags were from Ohio, but it didn’t seem to matter as I never got pulled over or had any issues.
