Well, fast forward three weeks and now the control board is out. Two days just to have the warranty Team come out, three days to get authorization for ordering the part, and another week to actually get the part, so we’ll have dirty clothes for two weeks. Speed Queen here I come.

Lowes warranty is known to be crap. Allstate warranty is the best

do you have any evidence to back up this ridiculous assertion? anyone recommending the company formerly known as SquareTrade should come with proof of claim.

I’ve dealt with them multiple times. Never an issue. My refrigerator went bad, they sent a technician next day and I was mailed a check for 300 dollars because of spoiled food. I use them for other items like a lawn mower and they’ve been good with repairs

I have bought a ton of stuff on Amazon with a ST/Allstate warranty. Never had an issue and they always paid or replaced the item. Never even had a repair offered.

When Costco sold ST warranties back in the day I also had a few and then had two claims. Never had an issue that was problematic.

costco still does. allstate bought squaretrade.

you dealt with them since the allstate takeover?

I am aware of that, that’s why I said “back in the day.” I have not bought an Allstate warranty through Costco.

Yes I have. They are amazing . Even better than squaretrade. Resolutions are Instant

the luckiest man in texas over here.

Who said I was in Texas?

Dishwasher died.

According to the repair guy:

Best brands to replace it: GE, LG
Avoid at all costs: Bosch, Maytag

Everything else in the kitchen in Whirpool, but the way the d/w is tucked into the island, you never actually see it from anywhere except behind the island. I’m still a little OCD about mixing brands.

Reflexive thoughts on brands? Definitely doing a stainless steel tub. Not interested in the cheapest dishwasher money can buy.

Yes, assuming the value’s there and it doesn’t take too long to get. (I washed a sinkful of dishes earlier today and it almost killed me  ).

Ever thought about just hand wash the dishes?

Started on leasehackr a couple of months ago for the EQS deal. Came across this thread today browsing through. Feel free to shoot me an email with whatever model you’re looking for. Will do my best to get you the best deal possible.

We ship nationwide. Best pricing will be in the NY metro area but confident we can be competitor everywhere. We have floor models and open box returns as well.

We don’t waste water in California. And Cascade pods aren’t as useful when you bite them open and squirt them into the sink.

Seems like earliest delivery of any decent brand is the way to go.
