Congrats! I would of went with a Prius personally.
@z0lt3c , for some reason I still feel like Sparky11 overpaid hehehe. Now he’s driving a Tesla in NorCal. Sad.
JK Sparky, the Model 3 Performance is pretty bomb. If you found one without curb rash on the passenger side, it’s like hitting the lotto. I just hope you never have to go to the Dublin, CA service center. They suck.
Thank you so much for the follow up and documenting your journey. I’m in Norcal as well and want to copy you
Hoping to find a Model 3 closer to $20k
Did you just keep checking all of those approved dealerships and once they had one, you grabbed it? How was the CCFA process? Seems like a lot of work, but worth it if I can get an amazing deal on a Tesla.
Any updates on this thread? Looking to trade in my 2004 Honda CRV, it does have a check engine light on though, Wondering if that affects it… I’m looking for the best value I can get on a car while stacking these grants/incentives. Please drop your advice if you have any!
You should ping @waterlilinyc … they’re about to get a very low monthly on an Audi with this program.
@holeydonut - thanks for thinking of me, lol. I thought my lease offer wasn’t a good one?! I was distracted the past few days due to the holidays but my Audi sales rep did reach out to offer a lower lease payment of $278/month. I’ll need to see what kind of deal Sal is willing to make to get the Q4 off his lot for purchase. Otherwise, I’m leaning towards getting a Tesla model Y!
How long did it take for you to get approved?
It took about 4 months to get approved.
I’m still struggling on figuring out what car to get. So many offer lease deals but I’d rather buy the car outright. Initially picked to get a PHEV, then requested to change to EV because I wanted an Audi Q4, except I’m struggling to get the quote below $48k for the premium plus trim.
Ioniq 5?….
any progress? i am waiting for approval for replace you ride program. i want to know the process of buying a car from programs like this. please forgive my grammar mistakes, english is my second language.
Thank
It’s easier if you get in touch with a dealer who has a brand you want. This program is tough to sort out, especially if English is not your first language.
The list of BAAQMD dealers is here:
For example, if an Audi EV is what you want, you’ll want to get in touch with Salvador Velasquez at Audi Steven’s Creek. That link above has this info for that dealership.
Edit: looks like your last name is Viet… Toyota in Palo Alto may be better for you to help in your first language.
Thanks for the help. Yes I am vietnamese. I think i will go to the Toyota dealer you mentioned. I also realized he is from Vietnam.
