Back on the topic of the AMG Betrayal⌠hereâs a thread on MB World from March 2023.
Somebody tried to spread the gospel over to those forum users in March 2023. Captain Slow was talking about fight club. But interestingly the thread just petered out and died. A forum full of people interested in Mercedes EVs couldnât keep a conversation going about saving tens of thousands of dollars.
Subsequently to that thread, there were more people boasting entering into non-AMG leases (EQS450 and EQS580) at like $1,500 a month and thinking they got a âdealâ because starting in Q2 2023 MB started advertising their fleet incentive. Dealer contribution at that time was still 0%.
Edit : lol the OP of that thread said â Money or its cost is not an issue.â. Thatâs TheVolvoGuy âs dream customer.
I would assume usually people join/follow vehicle specific forums after getting one. That might be a reason why the conversation died.

I stupidly joined Swedespeed before I got a XC60. I actually thought the car was premium back then⌠since everyone was paying MSRP.

Wow! All these threads created initially by people saying the deal âlooked okâ or âlooked highâ or âlooked offâ etc and 99% of those people with not a clue on reality because they didnât even learn or use a calc before lighting $ on fire.
