Am I getting a good deal on this 2024 Solterra lease?

Sorry if this is a beginner question but I appreciate any input here. This will be my first time leasing so just feeling a bit uncertain.

My main priority is getting a smoking deal on a lease. From what I can tell the Subaru Solterra is one of the better deals out there right now but I am open to other suggestions if this is not that great of a deal. The biggest draw here is this one is not costing me anything down. I am located in AZ.

I have uploaded the sales sheet but essentially I am looking at $400/month for the Subaru Solterra premium

The Nissan Ariya Evolve+ is a similar price and is a better car.

Have you Test Driven the Solterra? I hated the non opening moonroof and the fact I couldn’t reach anything easily without bending over (and that’s a danger driving)

Ioniq5 is cheaper but doesn’t have a sunroof on the cheaper models.

Nope, too expensive for a solterra. If you insist on that car, you can get Lexus RZ for that payment. iD4, Ariya, EV6 & Ioniq5 is a better ev and cheaper monthly. If you don’t mind the range, look for Genesis GV70 electrified for $400-450 monthly.

Premium trim of Solterra is pretty underwhelming with options. This is “at invoice” but if you want the Solterra you can certainly shop around and get more discount. Have seen as much as 6k off up here.

I would cross shop Ioniqs and Ariyas which as mentioned are similar payment and better cars.

Bz4X XLE has more options and if you can find one on a lot should be a lower payments.

That doesn’t tell you anything about the quality of the deal.

Any lease can be $0DAS credit permitting.

Based on what metric?

Payment to MSRP ratio? Or payment relative to what features you get?

Either way one-pay or MSD will often be the best deal if you have the cash.

No deal is a good deal on a Solterra or BZ4X.

I will later today. I am not too concerned with trim though, performance and price is most important to me but I did have concerns on range of this vehicle

I have looked at those, however they all required some money down and ultimately were not cheaper

Yes exactly, payment to MSRP ratio. I would say my upper limit would be $650/month as long as the deal is still good but a dirt cheap lease is attractive as well

Solterra is not exactly my first choice however it seems like the better option compared to the Toyota

This is why you should construct your own deal and send them out instead of accepting what the dealer want you to pay or just pay a broker to get you one.

Good idea. I think I’ll search for a broker who can help me out

Click on Marketplace in Arizona and California for sellers who sell out of state. Such as

People will tell you how awful the Solterra/Bz4x is (they’re the same car by the way).

I’ve had quite a few entry level EVs and I’m pretty happy with my Bz4X XLE. Part of my enjoyment is the low payment, but as a third car with free charging for the year it’s great. It’s a step up from the Premium Solterra with features though. And it’s not worth $400 a month compared to what else you can get. Just helped a friend into a fully loaded leftover Kia GT Line for that much.

Agreed that the marketplace is probably your best bet to get a killer deal with little effort. Lots of options out there.

Yup. Just like stocks and bonds, it’s much more useful to think of cars as “overpriced and underpriced” instead of “good and bad”

$400 is way overpriced for a Soltterea

Yup. I love my $89 a month bz4x. Would hate it at $400 with what I could be driving instead.

You got that for 0 down in AZ?

Assume $3,500 extra DAS that came from Mass
