Have you told the different dealers/brokers your exact zip code?
I did tell them my exact zip code.
When shopping lease quotes in SoCal, I found the dealers either 1) provided pretax only, or 2) defaulted to their own tax rate (California is a base 7.75% on payment and counties/cities can choose to add on)
You are dealing primarily with a sales person who most likely can’t calculate a lease by hand if their life depended on it - they are running shuttle diplomacy with the finance manager to guesstimate.
If I’m asking for lease payment quotes, I give them my zip AND my tax rate to save them from guessing incorrectly.
Thats’s helpful, thanks.
I picked up a 2021 Telluride LX last month from SoCal, at MSRP, only dealer willing to play ball. Everyone else was 3-10k above MSRP. The thing is you gotta be patient & email as many dealer as possible. It took me a full month to find a dealer willing to sell at MSRP. I love the car wife loves it too, so worth it.
I decided to go with CX-9, got it today, finally was able to negotiate a good price I think $410 35 payments and $0 DAS
I’m sorry to hear that
