Alfa Romeo Stelvio Sport

Just picked up a 2018 Stelvio Sport from Fullerton in NJ (Chris West and Scott). It was an older unit (listed as build last August) so probably eligible for some extra money somewhere. Ally lease. I started the inquiry process yesterday and today settled on a stock to deal on. Had numbers finalized by lunchtime and all via SMS

**MSRP: $47,185 (although oddly, there are two window stickers in the vehicle and one states $47,685 but the paperwork is the $47,185 number)
** Total Capitalized Cost: $37,316.90
**Monthly Payment: $400.86
**Down Payment: $400 (DMV)
**Incentives: $3,250 (already deducted in the Total cap above)

**Months:24
**Annual Mileage:10k
**Residual: 61%

**Region:NJ

I’m very happy with that deal - it may not be absolutely the best but is good in the present time.

Cheers & thanks to the hackers for educating me. In this instance, I didn’t calculate out all the parameters of the lease - but knowledge is everything and I knew where I wanted to be.

Congratulations! I think you did really good job on the deal. I bet you will love it!

Sounds like a good deal, i remember emailing back and froth with Scott from Fullerton and he never went below $468 on the monthly for me. The Msrp was $48k plus for stelvio i wanted but still he never had good numbers for me. so congratulations on your deal, what was your total due at signing?

Ok deal at 15% MSRP. Anyone else looking for a Stelvio push for 20%, the other thread had someone getting 22% off before incentives.

OP already mentioned its $400.

OK - I do have a question to the hackers. As I mentioned in the original post, there were two window stickers in the car - the difference being that on the higher priced one, the Forward Collision Warning was listed as a $500 option and took the MSRP to $47,685.

The lease was written on the lower number of $47,165 as the MSRP (and of course the residual is calculated off that). Interestingly, the Alfa inventory checker pulls up the lower MSRP but pulling up a generated window sticker pulls up the higher MSRP.

I’m assuming on the lease side, writing the lease with the lower MSRP isn’t going to create any issues?

Thanks,

John.
PS: To confirm, it was $800 at signing that consisted of 1st month (400) and a small down to cover DMV (400).

I actually dealt with Chris West but Scott came over after the paperwork was done and shook my hand, said thanks and then chatted for a while - nice guy. I couldn’t have been happier with the delivery (and in general, the negotiation was seamless). I arrived at the dealership and said I wanted to drive the vehicle and they stuck dealer plates on and said see you in a bit!

Who knows if what I am about to say is true but it seems the last day of the month on quota was yesterday - and yes, I think I became a unit. The finance person said that mine wasn’t a profit deal in itself but given overall numbers, the dealer was going to profit (think unit bonus etc). I guess I timed it right. By my reckoning it seems to be about 21% off MSRP after rebates. Maybe not as sweet as some but still good.

Given my $400 at signing for DMV, it becomes a $417/mo lease for everything rolled in. An extra $1k of MSRP to $48k+ would probably be another $20 or so on top on a 2yr/10k (guessing but seems ballpark).

Cheers,

John

That’s cool man, seems like a smooth process. Scott is actually the manager there. I never actually went down there to negotiate but he told me come down and we will work it out. That was the beginning of last month, but I hired a broker from this site so seeing where he can get me at far as a better deal then I was quoted. @matthewsjl

For reference, these were the lease parameters:

The difference in the selling price and Gross cap is the added sales tax of $811.70
