ADVICE: Polestar 3 vs. Lyriq vs. Genesis GV 70 Electrified vs. Ioniq 5 Limited

,

The offer I have for a Lyric Sport 2 or Luxury 2 is $601/month for 24 months all taxes and dealer fees included. Adding the broker fee, it comes out to $621/month if I divide up the cost.

The Polestar offer is the PND from this site. I do not currently have an EV. It’s $629/month for 27 months, all taxes and fees included. Adding the broker fee, it comes out to $655/month.

Would love your thoughts on both of these and why you feel the Polestar is it a non-starter? It is way lower than I can get at the dealers or on the website. And one of them was willing to work with me a bit. Really curious to get your opinion. I really like both cars.

Polestar is only a deal with EV conquest. Without it the deal sucks.

Lease hacking begins with picking a vehicle that you can hack given the rebates you qualify for.

What’s your target for a IO5 Limited? Post a calculator showing your target deal.

I owned a '22 Ioniq 5 limited which I sold to lease a Polestar 3 (Pilot/Plus/Nappa/21s).

My Polestar 3 ended up being a dud, having the water ingress issue needing a 4 month wait for parts. Polestar offered a buyback which I accepted. I still liked Hyundai/Genesis EVs. I looked at The '25 Ioniq 5 I looked hardest at. The best deal I found given none of the marketplace serves hyundai in Massachusetts was on amazon auto, which had 2k off msrp, 1750 gift card and 15k of lease incentives, which as a % of MSRP, is more than Polestar, netting to ~450/month with 1750 due at signing (before the gift card). I decided NOT to get the newer version of the same car and instead purchased a used 24 GV60 Performance (25 doesn’t lease well compared to the price I paid and hyundai discounted '24 lease deals).

I’m sitting in one now

that was for an Ioniq limited? quite a deal $450/month. I’d get one at that price. lowest i’ve been able to come across here is around 600.

I agree that getting an extra $5K would be great but $15K off is still pretty damn good for the Polestar. However, I’m starting to think about looking at that for my NEXT lease after I already have an EV.

I’m not sure how to properly target a deal for the I5 Limited. I was hoping it would be substantially less than the Lyriq Sport 2 but everything I’m seeing priced out – including from brokers here – they are about the same price.

What do you think about the Lyriq Sport 2 at the terms I mentioned?

Lol nice. Which model did you get and do you like it? I’ve been zeroing in on the sport 2. What do you think about that lease pricing I mentioned above? Mind sharing yours?

Got Lux 1 AWD in NYC a month ago.

Love it - especially how plush, quiet and fast AWD trim is. It’s like riding rocket-powered couch. Getting Lux 2 would have been nice, but I’m perfectly happy without cooled seats, super cruise and stock audio is perfectly adequate.

Oh that was you. I read that post a few times lol. Smoking deal.

Would you refund in this situation or is it strictly between the OEM and buyer?

Most of the stuff i sell is no broker fee, so i wouldn’t refund there. I have refunded for lemoned cars before though, sure.
