Acura RDX - AWD - Tech package

Residual is 55%
MF is .000390
MSRP: 42,195
Discount - 7,332 ( this is up from about 6700 after I replied the first time)
Sale Price - 34,863

DP - $2500
Monthly payment with fees and 6% sales tax - 344.59

Thoughts? I think there’s more wiggle room. I also aim to try to for a higher trim.

Thanks!

Do not make a down payment and also I believe there is a sizable lease cash available for the 2018 RDX. Does your sale price include that? If so, your dealer discount is probably not the best one around…

Get rid of that downpayment

$2500 dealer cash on this (in my area, 48114). Unless that’s what your “down payment” is??

Keep the info going please as I’m considering an RDX too. What state/area are you in?

I’m in PA. I believe the down payment is mostly fees and taxes but I will find out.

Acura and Honda are so tough to lease with…I thought i had the down payment down pretty far to be honest.

I know some Hondas don’t lease well. Is the outgoing RDX different? Better leases now that they are trying to move them? Sorry for the beginner question, not sure how to evaluate a good lease beyond the approximate 1% rule which I’m not even sure if it should be 1% of MSRP or negotiated sale price.

BTW, also, I am seeing what the GMC dealer will lease a Denali Terrain for. The RDX and Terrain Denali have about the same MSRP.

This was spawned from prior threads I’ve read on here and the great deals people were scoring with the Denali.

Wheelz. I’m still learning too. I’ve lurked on this site for a few months now just trying to sponge up the information.

Generally, you should get 18-20% off MSRP on an outgoing model. The new - redesigned RDXs are coming this summer - soon…so that should be my target. I still am not sure how people negotiate with no money down, but as I’ve said

Just ask them to run all numbers with “zero down”. You don’t have to put anything down.

Acura’s actually have been leasing pretty well due to significant MSRP discounts, you just missed higher factory incentives on the RDX that ended in April which would have made this better.

Shop multiple dealers, play the numbers off each other…

I do have the quote for 0 down - it was right around $417…that puts us squarely at the 1% rule.

Ah okay. Based on your prior statement “I thought i had the down payment down pretty far to be honest.”, I thought you meant you didn’t know that you could lease with zero down.

It’s not a bad deal for sure, just not spectacular, but Hondas/Acuras rarely have spectacular leases. RDX’s are leasing decently now (factory incentives + big MSRP discounts) as the new generation 2019 is coming out this summer. Acura might bump the incentives or MF/RV to clear them out in the next couple of months.

My advice would be to send these numbers to multiple dealers in your area and ask them if they can beat it by a substantial amount. You’ll either get validation that it’s a good deal, or a better deal.

If you’re happy that’s all that matters!

Yes, my work is not done, I agree. I am going to let them fight it out.

I also have a honda dealer trying to hone in on the action. The original offer was $350 plus taxes and fees…and 2500 down for a CRV ex…wow, right?

They’ve now moved up to touring for the same $350 but taxes and fees included in order to compete with acura. But the acura is a much much better car.

I’m working with a friend up here in Seattle and have a dealer telling me that at 7% off before incentives they’re losing $2000. Somehow I think that’s not the case given the price you’re getting…

With $3600 in lease cash total, you’re getting like 8 or 9%…

GMC came back at $490 a month for the Terrain Denali. Uhhhhh wow. With 3500 down.

Last month 36/10 AWD Tech was going for 399 a month w 399 DAS tax included in NJ.

Assuming the spread between MSRP and dealer invlice is relatively consistent across all Acura models, a 6% dealer discount should have you right around invoice so they definitely aren’t losing money at 7%.

100% agree. Invoice appears to be a 5% spread.

Of course, that’s BS.

I came very close to replicating the deal set forth on the front page for the RDX in March. Got a base RDX for $329 a month with $0 down. There was a $3,050 incentive for the base, and I got another $2500 off. MSRP is $38,495, so my negotiated discount alone was 6.5%, and with the lease incentive it was 14.4%.

The RDX has the complete model redesign coming soon - there are definitely deals to be had.

Welcome to Seattle where everything is made up and the points don’t matter. Unless you’re buying a Subaru. Copious Subaru deals.
