Audi S6, especially if there’s a loyalty incentive
I5 x40 or M60
I7 of whatever flavor if you can justify $/mi ratio since comfort and back seat seems to matter (probably a loaner to get to your price range)
There might be a new Lexus ES EV coming out by then. S/b a bit larger than i5 and reasonably powerful. Top of the line version will be very nicely loaded (but that look!)
SUVs:
Audi SQ6
BMW iX, x5 loaner, no idea re x7
Cadillac Lyriq or Vistiq
Various Lexus ICE/PHEV - all crappy to lease but at least reliable
great suggestions. had two lexus back in day - LS looks beautiful but didn’t realize it was being retired and final edition is 500 cars and red interior…
We are currently leasing the bmw ix and the audi A6 etron. Both cars are great. Maybe take a look at the polestar 4, I test drove the performance trim and i loved it. way under your budget too
Thanks for posting, like hearing all the feedback here. My ‘23 Etron GT is up in 3 months and I’m asking myself similar questions. I have really enjoyed the car.
I hate the front end also, but I decided to drive one anyway.
I hated myself for how much I liked the car, and reasoned that I’d almost never encounter it full-frontal.
I didn’t get one because 1) deals weren’t plentiful and I wasn’t ambitious enough to really work at it; and 2) I already had a 750 at the time so the i7 seemed a bit redundant.
I’m in a similar position: my Taycan lease is $1000/month, I’m way under on miles (7.5k - next time will get 5k). I’m up in October but hopefully can extend a few months for year end deals (but with Porsche maybe you can only extend if you’re waiting for another Porsche?).
I’d like a Lucid but deals aren’t great these days. If my lease was up now, I’d be looking at polestar 3 or 4 - deals seem good but very little discussion on LH. Maybe you can do my homework for me.
Same boat here. I’m in a ‘25 (refreshed) Taycan and may lease ends in October. I am over in miles (but the .50 per mile is whatever).
I’ve been in a Lucid Air Grand Touring and hated it. Also was in an Audi e-tron GT but I found the brakes mushy. I do want to try the newly refreshed RS e-tron GT as they look more aggressive with the diffuser in the back and the better charging that matches the new Taycan refresh.
I dunno if we will ever get deals for Audi’s though and I could go back into another Taycan but would want something beyond a base Taycan which is what I’m in and I would want a refresh’d (2025 or newer) one.
Open to suggestions on other options. Needs to charge fast as I road trip to Vegas from SoCal often and be somewhat quick/unique.
The etron GT and Taycan are nice (My GT is up in about six months too), but honestly not worth the MSRP IMHO (yes, we all got fantastic lease deals).
Waiting to see what the BMW i3 (electric 3-series) is like, reviews on the iX3 have been stellar. Hoping it leases reasonably well, especially if we do a lease extension through AFS.
Looks like Audi isn’t brining many EVs in right now probably due to the rebate being gone and tariffs. Looked at Q6 etron inventory today and it’s pretty dismal.
Wow so 3 of us here are in Porsches with leases ending in October? We should make our own thread to share finds and ideas!
I’m also going to keep an eye on Cadillac Optiq. Coming from a Taycan you guys may not be interested, but I’m more into comfort than performance, and Optiq is 9/10 (vs macan 10/10) on car and driver, so for half the price (or 1/3, or 1/4?) I think it’s sufficient.
also will look at polestar next time I’m in a city with a dealership (Orlando has none)
Id consider Polestar if the MY2027 Polestar 3 ships by October. It is 800v and will charge way faster and has been updated with the new CPU. I know they are doing free upgrades on existing ones to the new CPU from Nvidia but I’m not wanting a slow charging car. That is my issue with Polestar 3/4’s right now. Also the interiors are a bit too Tesla like with the minimalism.
I’m hoping Audi makes incentives as units sit on lots due to poor sales. We shall see. I may hop into another Taycan if I can get another 2025 or newer on a good deal but I dont want a base Taycan like I have now.
I am really eyeing the Genesis GV60 Magma when that ships but fearful it wont be here by October and the range may be my dealbreaker as it only sits at 220 miles EPA i think but it will be truly unique.
I should have gone with my instinct here, which was to get a cheap loaner iX, roll everything in, and then transfer it when something better came along.
For that matter I could have done the same with a strong deal on pretty much any BMW (or anything that’s easily transferred).
My strategic error with the Jeep is that I settled for something that can’t be transferred. I thought the price and the power would be enough for me for two years, but I was wrong.
Respectfully: the $3/mo in additional rent charge over the 3-6 month term would land you in an asylum.
A (non-LH but 5 cars for 3 people) friend who had been looking at CPO Taycans for his wife bought a 24 eTron GT with 4k miles over the weekend for 45% of MSRP. It might be the first model in LH history to have leased well and also be a steal as an off-lease used car (Bolts with branded titles excluded).
