That’s the tricky part… I like the driving and interior of IX, but the front part is too unique… Like the exterior look of Q8, but interior is lacking…
As someone who prefers the Q8 Etron over the iX, get the iX. The only place where the Q8 Etron beats the iX is the looks department. They should not have a similar payment imo.
If you like the looks then go with Q8 but for driving choose iX. I will choose iX in a heart beat and I own Q8 since 2019 and never like the driving feeling between the steering and the road. Not driven iX yet but hopefully it share the same ride feeling as X5 or X6…
I can sign iX 50 this week If my wife let go her Q8.
30k miles, P+ and getting offer for $43k on it.
IX deals are very tempting with $9000 credit plus 8 to 9% off msrp. Plus all the Gas savings.
Exterior: Did not like iX at first but it grew on me overtime. But Audi definitely looks better at first.
Interior (Dashboad): I like Q8’s Dash feels better but every other Audi dashboard looks very similar. In other words nothing new. iX’s dash feels little plain for me.
Interior (Seats): Both really comfortable
Interior (Infotainment/SW): Audi is better in this regard and much more intuitive for me. iX it will take some time to figure out.
Drive: Personally, Q8 Etron felt more luxurious and comfortable in comparison at Test Drive. iX was on par. But I got a chance to drive an iX at a test track. Just WOW! the way it handled was at a different level (especially in corners) even with it weighing so much.
So if handling, performance, range and unique design is the preference its iX. Else if luxurious comfortable ride is the preference then Audi Q8. It doesn’t mean iX does not feel comfortable, just Q8 does it little better.
And yeah I agree with others here, that there are better deals (lower MF/discounts) to be had in iX. Q8 Etron probably need to wait for a month or two.
Cross shopping both at the moment, had a chance to drive the Q8 E-tron Premium Plus last night super nice ride however like others said the MF/Incentives really kill the deal. Local Audi dealership was willing to go 5% below MSRP however it’s still not enough considering they added 1500 worth of bloat (ceramic coating/anti theft labels). The deals on the BMW are great, local BMW is willing to go 6% below MSRP however really looking to get into the 8-10% range to do the deal. Unfortunately it’s slim pickings when it comes to brokers in the Midwest, really wish we saw that same types of deals the East coast and West coast folks are seeing.
