24 Month Alfa Romeo Giulia $416

Update!

I LOVED this car. What a fun drive. After the 24 month lease was up in October of 2021 I ended up buying the car. I did not originally plan to, due to Alfa’s horrendous reputation. If it worked out, plan A was to keep doing short term leases. Anyway, the covid automotive economy happened and with no deals/high interest I bought the car! And I drove it until a few days ago - sold to Carvana with 41,000 miles. I never wanted to jinx myself but with this particular Alfa but here it is: I never experienced any electrical issues or really any issue with the car! I replaced an evaporative canister for the fuel venting system under warranty. I believe that was it! It was probably the most reliable car I had ever owned. I think I got very lucky. Anyway, it was about time to invest in more tires and a little more preventative maintenance and so I thought it was time to say good bye. And we wanted something bigger.

So here are my stats of ownership:
(MSRP $47k)
$299 doc fee
$411/mo incl tax x 24 months
= $9,864
$29327 buyout price with tax
β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”-
$39,490
$5,517 maintenance including new brakes all around, a set of Pirelli winter tires, winter/summer tire swaps 2x per year starting in late 2021, new battery, air filters, wiper blades. I did not include expenses of oil changes and state inspections as these would be done anyway.

Total cost: $45,007
Sold for: $19,833
Net expense: $25,124
/52 months: $483 per month

It looks like I had 5 oil changes, all done by Alfa (first was free. The 4 averaged out to $175 each). So if you add the oil changes, my average cost was:

$496 per month

I will miss this car!
