2026 Cadillac Vistiq Courtesy Lease Proposal

Originally was drawn to this deal being advertised by this dealership local to me here in Metro Detroit area:

2026 Cadillac Vistiq Luxury Trim with 6 Seat Option - Courtesy Car

4320 miles on it already

$709/mo, 24 month lease, 10K miles per year (current mileage will be deducted from allowance of course)

$2995 due at signing.

I have GM Employee discount from a family member, also have a current Chevy Equinox Lease in the household, and a BMW we own as well.

Now…Look at what they are quoting me and I’m about to just walk away and forget this whole thing or shop around:

Yes, walk away fast

Run away immediately.

Is the payment $709 or $937?

This is awful. Please do not sign this.

Now it’s $937 because I don’t have Cadillac to Cadillac rebate.

I’ve officially passed on the deal. Will call around but not that optimistic that I’ll find a good deal like this.

Was considering a used 2023 Model X with payments around $1000/mo but did not want to deal with maintenance headaches plus rapid depreciation and monthly money waste with 9-10% used car loan interest rates.

What other 3 Row SUV EV options do I have where I can steal a good lease? I don’t want Huyandai, Kia, or Rivian.

It was either between a 2026 VW Atlas fully loaded with captains chairs, 2026 Vistiq, or 2023 Model X.

Keep asking other dealers. I got a Lyriq demo a couple months ago, the Vistiq demos were quoted around $700/month with nothing out of pocket.

That is not what that advertisement says.

You’re leaving out the thousands of other dollars the advertisement requires in your comparison.

The add also mentioned the Cadillac loyalty requirement.

Dang, what a crazy deal! Almost guaranteed that it would be hard to find a dealer today offering something like this. I will try though.

Where was this at? Michigan dealers?

Yea that’s the one that looks like a Minivan but awesome on the inside. I don’t like the optics of that one. Will stick to Tesla Model X or Cadillac Vistiq options for now.

Yeah I’m in Michigan. That was also with the extra cash from Cadillac they were doing after the federal EV incentive stopped.

Good luck! Hopefully still some demo deals out there, I think Cadillac is killing it with their EV’s.

I don’t think it’s been established that this is a good deal.

Don’t talk to another dealer until you know exactly what constitutes an aggressive deal, and then reach out only to make offers (don’t just ask for prices).

Yes, you are right. Now that I’m thinking about it, it’s not a “great” deal. I will go by your suggestion after I figure out what I’m ultimately looking for in the numbers.

Thank you!

Perfect. I’m not following this vehicle at all, but I know that there are a number of both offers and deals posted recently.

If you look through those (esp the ones Oct and later), you’re looking for a target pre-incentive discount. Not all of the deals you’ll find will be for loaners, so you’ll have to normalize for that if you’re determining what a brand-new one is worth.

when all is done, it should be worth the time and energy!

Really appreciate that! So when you say “target pre-incentive”, you mean to negotiate price first and then add on my incentives?

Here is what I am looking for specifically and perhaps what I’m even looking for does not qualify as a “good deal”? I don’t know, lol.

Luxury or Sport Trim (They are about $80-82K MSRP)
6 seat option
Ideally want Red exterior with Gray interior if possible

Courtesy vehicle helps bring price down

I have GMS discount code

I have conquest cash of $2000 due to bmw in household

I am about to renew my Costco executive membership which is additional $1250

that’s almost $6K in cash rebates

Looking for $3K or less due at signing

$700/mo payment for 24 month lease

What are these numbers based on?

If the answer to this question is not a calculated number for your personal situation based on a well-researched pre-incentive discount target, you need to take a gigantic step back.

Honestly, no idea. Just thought I’d be able to negotiate prices down or have dealers compete with one another. I don’t know how to do all this math stuff but you are correct, I have to take a huge step back and learn this a bit more.

I’m in no rush to sign anything anyway.
