I’ve officially passed on the deal. Will call around but not that optimistic that I’ll find a good deal like this.
Was considering a used 2023 Model X with payments around $1000/mo but did not want to deal with maintenance headaches plus rapid depreciation and monthly money waste with 9-10% used car loan interest rates.
What other 3 Row SUV EV options do I have where I can steal a good lease? I don’t want Huyandai, Kia, or Rivian.
It was either between a 2026 VW Atlas fully loaded with captains chairs, 2026 Vistiq, or 2023 Model X.
Yea that’s the one that looks like a Minivan but awesome on the inside. I don’t like the optics of that one. Will stick to Tesla Model X or Cadillac Vistiq options for now.
I don’t think it’s been established that this is a good deal.
Don’t talk to another dealer until you know exactly what constitutes an aggressive deal, and then reach out only to make offers (don’t just ask for prices).
Yes, you are right. Now that I’m thinking about it, it’s not a “great” deal. I will go by your suggestion after I figure out what I’m ultimately looking for in the numbers.
Perfect. I’m not following this vehicle at all, but I know that there are a number of both offers and deals posted recently.
If you look through those (esp the ones Oct and later), you’re looking for a target pre-incentive discount. Not all of the deals you’ll find will be for loaners, so you’ll have to normalize for that if you’re determining what a brand-new one is worth.
when all is done, it should be worth the time and energy!
If the answer to this question is not a calculated number for your personal situation based on a well-researched pre-incentive discount target, you need to take a gigantic step back.
Honestly, no idea. Just thought I’d be able to negotiate prices down or have dealers compete with one another. I don’t know how to do all this math stuff but you are correct, I have to take a huge step back and learn this a bit more.
