2025 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack, 24/10k $175/mo $175 DAS

They was not letting that car go for that price if i gave those rebates i guarantee it lol you have to play your cards right if you want to get the absolute best deal or you’ll just get taken advantage which I’m guessing that’s what happens to you. I was just trying to give good advice to get the best deal bc once they see that hundred dollar note they call all there friends and family to come re create your deal and ignore your phone call and sell them the car. I’ve been ghosted many times once i got that note right.

June 4th is apparently when these “good deals” drop. I’d suggest waiting till those incentives hit the system.

i dont have a problem with this, they lose no money by you using affiliate. its not like you got their and told them you want more off the car.

Exactly idk why those 2 other guys went in defense for the dealers lol.

how do you like the car so far?

Loving it, i haven’t had any issues with it..

As I said before, they made more money off of you that you could have negotiated for by using the affiliate program.

congratulations-you-played-yourself-dj-khaled

Do you not read what does me giving the affiliate code while at the dealer have to do with anything. Can i not still negotiate while I’m there lol what point are you trying to make. I actually did get them down more lol.

OK, you got your $2k Affiliate Reward. Congratulations.

However, they, in turn, get $1100-1500 more from Stellantis that you didn’t know about because you thought you were outsmarting them by not discussing it in advance.

Look, I don’t care what you do or how much you pay. But thinking it’s clever to connive and spring things on people when you’re traveling to get a car could put your agreed upon deal at risk and, in this case, didn’t accomplish anything other than increasing their profit.

When they do it is quite possibly a material withholding of fact which businesses do get burned for.

When you do it, there’s no rules, man. A true rebel without a cause.

I got the same story today from the GM at a dealership and the SM yesterday at another.

They both said the regional rep informed them the employee stuff is going to take a hit but it sounds like everyone else will benefit.

The $1k BEV coupons will still be a thing. From what I’ve seen they’re not getting any more but their expiration date moved out from 6/3 to 6/30.

Employee is $2k, so if it can be a net improvement, I’ll be happy. That would mean I can stop generating codes and having to send them as well.

Weirdly I was negotiating with a dealer and he told me to wait until then for the better offer. I didn’t quite get it, but whatever. I think my fear is Dodge abandoning support for the 2024 and going all in on 2025s. Dealers by me haven’t been discounting 2025s at all.

Because these idiots aren’t logical. Why should they care if all the money is coming from Stellantis? Apparently they get offended when the price looks too low even if they’re making more on the car.

Worst case, they don’t accept affiliate and you’re back to the previous price

Is the Affiliate rebate supposed to be a flat $2k bonus cash? Or is it some sort of below invoice preferred pricing discount?

The program is spelled out on the landing page.

They also offer affiliates incentives from time to time and give the dealership money for selling at the Affiliate price. Dealerships are passing their money to move these, in the case of the car I was/am considering its just under $1500.

If you look at the car’s invoice there is an Affiliate item there just like for dealer holdback, which was just under $2500 on a ~$82k CSP.

I think it’s a combination of poor training, pricing, communications, basic math skills and greed.

One family chain has built a couple $30M and a $40M dealership in my backyard within the past 5 years.

You’ll hear sales people say there isn’t any money in new cars while you’re standing in these ridiculously gaudy cathedrals built on land worth millions of dollars.

I think there are so many sales managers that are bad at their jobs or uninformed that they lack the ability to do anything beyond the basics.

For example, at a couple dealerships the other day I asked the sales managers if they could put together competitive quotes on a '24 CSP out of loaner service using 5 coupons. If they didn’t have either of the latter two I let them know it wouldn’t be worth their time.

First place the guy sitting next to the SM kept leaning over telling him how to do it. Apparently, he was fairly new at the job. Got the quote and there was CTP money and only two coupons applied. $600/mo.

OK, new guy. I get it. We all start somewhere, right?

Next place, same thing. SM starts into the ‘I can’t come anywhere near that number’ routine and the GM sitting right behind him turns around and points out that he’s not even on the right car, it has to be one of their CTP vehicles and so on. Basically repeating everything I said.

So the GM less than 6 feet away is telling the SM how to assemble the deal. He still couldn’t get it done.

As they were speaking it became evident the SM has no idea what the programs are. The GM meets with the district and learns about current and upcoming programs/incentives and may or may not pass it along to the rest of the staff. I’m finding a lot of these guys don’t know what is possible.

The other thing is this incentive game sucks for all parties involved. I have 10 incentives that may be applied to a Charger. The next guy maybe a couple, the next 1, the next is an employee, the next a dealership employee, the next a dealership employee in the NE with a lease conquest. Even if they know their stuff there are quite a few possible combinations and they almost always miss something entering them.

I think some of these people are afraid they’ll f-up, lose money on deals and get canned. These businesses are there to make money.

Worst case is we have a leasehackr community that isn’t hacking leases. Using the $.50 coupon in your purse at checkout for Tide not knowing Target has one worth $1 in their app isn’t really advancing the cause here.

Another heads up. Keep an eye on the money factor in your deals. Dealerships are being allowed to manipulate the interest rate on these leases. If your numbers are tight (tax, reg, cap cost…) and you’re looking at it but can’t figure out why the calculator is lower it could be that they bumped your cost of money up.

There are too many '24’s out there to do that. Plus, the 24’s dealerships put into CTP service in May will start becoming eligible for that additional rebate.

The Charger isn’t that nice of a car. If things do get worse there are better options out there. It can be a fun ride but in an urban area like where I am it doesn’t make for a good daily driver.

When I first started looking at these I was considering this a viable Corvette alternative for the northern climate. I actually enjoyed driving it more.

When they add the sedan version it will just become a bad choice to have chosen the coupe when you could have had a more practical family sedan. Uncool. From there it will go on to get beaten in comparison tests with everything from the Mach E to the Camry.

Under $200/mo for two years I might still get onboard. Being stranded with an unreliable car needing constant updates holds no appeal to me.

I’m pretty certain it’s more that I’ve stared at the solving the cheap lease problem too long and getting the deal means more than the car.
