Unless there are TX sales tax credits available, this is almost certainly a better purchase.
Thank you sir!
Should ibtry to negotiate the MSRP down a little if i can?
Msrp cant be negotiated.
Your selling price can and should be.
You need to start by putting together a well researched target deal.
HFS has some special APR finance rates. For this vehicle, I’d save the acquisition fee and just finance it.
Any idea of how much aquisition fee will be for a deal like this? I’m new to this and i will be reaseching more to know exactly how much i will be paying if a promotion is advertised as zero down or first month at signing. Thank you once again
595 - but they are saying it would likely be a better decision to just purchase/finance relative to leasing.
Sales person just sent me this and i want to make sure its a decent deal before pulling the trigger? What do you think? Any input is very much appreciated
If it helps, everyone can just repeat what’s already been side.
Posting quotes won’t change any of the fundamentals working against you here.
I think you still need to start with a well-researched target deal.
What are you hoping to achieve by asking more dealers how much they want you to pay without working out what you should be paying first?
Thank you for the input. This ks my situation: we currently have a car which has become too small for the family. My goal is to get a minivan but get a minivan without a high mark up or having to travel out of state to pock one up. My research initially led me to the Sienna but the current supply issues means i can only get it at MSRP.
My second choice is the Odyssey, and realized the Touring is the one that suits us best. My research has shown that the best price to get it in 2024 is around $40k. This is well within what i can afford. Im leaning towards a lease because i want tl be able to upgrade if Honda ecer goes Hybrid.
Im probably better off financing but this the only dealer so far giving me this rebates but says i wi loose the rebate if i finance it.
Please let me know if there is something more i need to do in my current state? Thank you
I think you’re missing my point.
You keep going and asking dealers how much they want you to pay for a lease, and then are left wondering if what they have offered is a good deal or not.
Instead, you should establish a target deal that informs what a good deal is, and then seek out a dealer that will do your deal.
You can’t effectively negotiate a deal, no matter what the vehicle is, if you dont know where youre trying to get to.
For some cars with LOTS of rebates, it can be cheaper to lease and immediately buy out the lease. For the Oddy, total cost after, let’s say three years, is likely to be lower with a purchase and private party sale rather than a lease. I purchased ours with a good discount off msrp and 2.9% financing. With interest rates on my money in the bank around 5%, I’m
Doin’ Alright
He doesn’t know what putting a target deal together entails tho…use calc inputting reasonable discount along with all incentives/rebates with base MF and RV for the DAS he wants to get target payment.
Wouldn’t believe anything coming out of their mouth without independent verification
Is this what i should be trageting then?
What discounts did you apply here ? 3-4 k dealer discount should be doable here and I believe purchase to be better deal then lease
I factored in the $5301 disocunt on the sheet i provoded ealier.
Dealer now says will take pro pack off which is $799 on the quote
