2024 BMW IX lease deal, how did I do?!

Negotiated deal without a broker, 11% off of MSRP, $9900 lease credit, 0 down, 7 MSD.

Dealer is dumb and didn’t do MSDs correctly. Should I be an even $6300.

Something’s not adding up. Post a calculator.

Doesn’t look they are taxing the whole $9900 incentive either, only what’s applied to CCR.

Assuming your MSRP is $95,095 (based on a 53% RV for 36/12K) and that you mean 0 drive off, your monthly payment should be around $840-850, inclusive of taxes.

And yea, the MSDs should be 7 x $900 = $6,300.

Best I could do with the calc (looks like they did a full markup on the rate here):

When you do zero driveoff on the LH calc it always ends up a bit higher than it should be on these. I’ve found by doing a negative down payment to offset the driveoffs instead, it usually ends up on the nose.

The rebate covers all the drive offs and the rest goes to cap cost reduction, so that’s why the entire $9900 is not being taxed.

And yes the dealer screwed up the MSDs, should be an even $6300 (probably typo; they might have you re-sign if it doesn’t get funded by BMW FS).

Otherwise everything checks out. Well done and congrats!

I appreciate the input! So I should consider this a great leasehackr deal?

I do and hope to mimic it soon.

Inquisitive to the experts - but what incentives (or not) would another dealer in this market not want to match this offer if someone brought it in? Does each dealer buy the car at a diff rate thus allowing a diff discount value assessed per car?

Interesting in the insight - TY!

Generally depends on the dealer volume and where they are versus year end targets.

If you have a large dealer that is close to some major performance bonuses, the next 3 days they may really want to move inventory.

We purchased an ix50 under very similar terms as the OP. I don’t have the deal sheet in front of me, but I believe it was:

Msrp: ~$102k
Dealer discount: -$11500
Incentives: $9k
Paid first month payment only at signing at $999/month

Our deal would have been incredible if Virginia didn’t completely F you on taxes, which added almost $50 per month to the lease.

Helpful. Don’t worry. Texas is another state where taxes and the structuring of it on a car payment is ludicrous

Shouldn’t the whole $9900 be taxed by CA regardless of how it’s applied?

Probably? But doesn’t look like it was here.
