2024/2025 Jeep Wagoneer Worth It?

But, yours is the same from the other side of the fence.

Realistically, there are far far more happy customers than disgruntled. Personally, I’ve had many more problems with bimmer and Benz products than mopar, for example. Tough to replace personal experience with faceless random internet complaints. I can find complaints online about every manufacturer.

I have entered the chat…

That’s what I did after dumping my '23 Jeep Grand Cherokee L after 6-ish months. X7 is a nice vehicle but I’m not sure they lease well. I picked up a preowned one (still under warranty).

Thank you. We were also looking at the L and not sure which vehicle makes the most sense. My wife is really interested in a roomy trunk with the third row up. Also starting to look at the Tahoe/Suburban route

Please look into the 6.2 V8 issues on the Tahoe/Suburban. Last I heard there’s a 4 month backlog for the engines and vehicles are sitting at dealership service lots waiting. They’ve had a high failure rate due to wrist pins not being fully seated. Maybe they’ve solved the issue. I don’t know.

Will do, thank you! Seems like it is harder and harder to find a good, reliable vehicle, nowadays!

This is a segment that just doesn’t lease well. Well-bought ownership on a brand known for value retention will have you coming out way ahead of leasing, returning and leasing again.

Look into financing a Grand Highlander or Lexus TX.

What dealer and what year did you end up leasing from?

I am in OH and only seeing 25 carbides just shy of $81k mrsp leasing for 1200.

Would love to have any information on your sticker and dealer to see if I can check them out. Thanks!

I got mine from Ryan at Medina Automall. Tell
Him Adam sent you. He’s a good guy straight shooter no BS.

What year you end up with?

MRSP?

Thanks all! We have been looking still and my wife likes the Suburban and Wagoneer L the best. They seem to be in the same general range with leasing, so still working through it all. Thanks for all of the help!!

Figured I would drop a comment since I has some recent experience with the Wagoneer. In February had a 2024 Wagoneer L loaner for a month, it had 25k miles and I absolutely loved it. With the air ride, it was one of the most comfortable vehicles I’ve ever driven. My wife liked it as well and she needed a new family car, so I traded in my financed 2022 Wrangler for a leased 2025 Wagoneer Carbide (not L). We’ve had it for a month and we absolutely love it. I personally feel that the interior is better than some of its competitors. I didn’t opt for the air ride since I think that is a weak point, but it is still a very comfortable ride. I will provide an update if it has any issues but I’ve always been a Jeep guy so I took the chance.

We leased it, this was before the tariffs so I didn’t think buying it wouldn’t work out well in the end but maybe not with the tariffs now.

Thanks for the info!! We are teetering back and forth and with the market it is hard to wait much longer. Thanks again!

hello - may I ask what you ended up doing?

having a hard time myself wanting a three row SUV that is in the full size suv category (think tahoe, yukon, expedition…) we just had a trip where we took the wagoneer out for three days and i actually really liked it! and then i find out the price was a lot lower than the aforementioned vehicles…and after i started doing some research found all these horror stories about brakes not working and transmissions dying and just a terrible product, so it scares us with such a big investment.

would really love to get an X7 but i agree that their third row space is very lacking…

We haven’t sealed a deal yet, but my wife decided on the wagoneer l. Just trying to get it built/located to hopefully get it done soon. She drove many of them and was down to the wagoneer or the suburban. Price was practically the same and she felt that the suburban drove more like a truck and the wagoneer more like a luxury vehicle/suv, which she preferred. Just trying to keep our fingers crossed that we can get a good deal and that she gets one in good working order! Definitely not an easy decision or path to get there.

This person claims they leased a wagoneer for $208 a month

That is the all electric Wagoneer S which is smaller than a Grand Cherokee (and only has 2 rows).

Maybe MSRP but if you’re talking lease payments then you’re doing something wrong.

Yes, MSRP.

Unless you’re purchasing it’s irrelevant. Not trying to knock your choice as there is nothing wrong with leasing a wagoneer for the right price but it would be pretty crazy to purchase one over a suburban (for resale value alone setting aside the quality issues).
