2023 LA Auto Show Nov 17-26

Went last year:

Still no German luxury brands and no standouts other than Lucid being there with their new Gravity SUV.

Several EV9s were there which was cool and Ford had different iterations of the Mach-E.

The EV3 and EV4 concepts were very futuristic:

The Santa Fe is nice and I predict will be popular:

And they had the Cyber… uhh… Robotruck:

… straight from someone’s high school project.

Not sure if I will go next year, wasn’t much more than the OC Auto Show and LA is a pain to get to during Thanksgiviing week.

Holy F, how big is the next Palisade going to be if the Santa Fe is that big?

Yeah, can’t motivate myself to go just to see the Honda Prelude and sit in (mostly) non-luxury cars…

I used to love going, and it was an annual ritual.

FYI for the future, I had read you can get a two-ticket package on Costco, and apparently it’s only ~$32!

I had free tickets from Chevy (I guess for the Silverado EV reservation).

I had free tickets last year from VinFast but after that big splash they were not at the OC or LA Auto Show this year.

I sat in the Tell/Pal just to compare to the EV9 and I even sat in the refreshed Sorrento… that and the new Santa Fe do encroach on the Tell/Pal market.

Maybe they plan to phase out the Telluride/Palisade in favor of people doing either Sorrento/Santa Fe or EV9 (and whatever the Hyundai equivalent ends up being).
