I’m alr blacklisted from one JLR store even though I never bought anything from them, so that only leaves 3 dealers my zip’s can register to :joy: would rather not reduce that to 2 but :man_shrugging:t4:

How did that happen :joy:

Doesn’t seem like there’s too much meat on the bone at sticker anymore, would you agree?

I respect the hustle. +50 respect

I’m not up to date at the market, so I can’t/won’t comment

Arrived yesterday. After reviewing the numbers, I changed my mind. It is too risky.
Dealer was happy about it, probably they are gonna list with some mark ups.

Surprised people are passing given where MMR is at… Are you thinking MMR won’t hold for 3-6 months? Even at 1500 a month, after 3 months you’re still 4-5k below MMR, no?

Mmr dropped 6k for 110s in a few weeks, month ago mmr was 81 7, now its 75 and change

10k to MMR… 8k to play with, ~4k profit if MMR holds here? Yeah guess I see the issue

I’m having second thoughts about a First Edition 130 @ $91k MSRP My goal was to hold it until my big body comes in roughly 6 months. Lease MF is .00357 (buy rate is .00307), so a horrific rate. Financing it at 3.99 to 4.99 for 72 mos. is clearly better when viewed only from the perspective of total cost. I’m betting I’ll owe more than the cars worth (under water). I looked at a few online car selling sites and they have a few 130 First Editions listed for $25-30k over MSRP as a used vehicle, but they aren’t selling having been on the market for a fair bit of time (30 days plus).

Define “underwater”. If it costs you $800, $900 or $xxx/month?

@Ursus I’ve edited the post to be much more clear

Lease is stupid on them, IMO. But what’s the monthly cost (all in) if financing vs. leasing and selling after 6 months? I can calculate but come on, it’s friday
I just have a feeling it might be a not so painful exit.

Yeah I feel like taxes on a 90k car alone will be worth leasing if you wanna hold it just for 5-6months.

For now I am planning to take my defender 110 XD when it comes in December. Drive it for 3-4 months over winter and then sell it in the spring when I expect the i7

Yeah. I’m in the tax on the selling price state, so financing is better.

Oh yeah, that sucks. But financing you pay tax on the whole amount in most states right? Any exceptions?

It’s definitely tougher in some of these states to get any profit. NY chargin 2500ish for every jeep I register on a lease is not great either. That’s 2500 I wouldn’t pay in most other states.
