2022 Nissan Leaf Price Drop & Current Regional Lease Deal (updated)

, , ,

Does anyone know if it is still valid in NY? I’m calling dealerships and they are saying incentives changed to $119/month for the 24 month lease.

It is regional, in NY/NJ it is 119

Which Westchester dealer is this from?

I believe the post said there are 0 in inventory 2022 models and dealers can just refuse to participate when they do get them in stock

It is not completely 0, they are arriving now, so some patience requires and surely dealers can not honor it, but some may …

That’s why I’m following the thread. Need a cheap commuter commuter car for family. In this market this would be a steal and gives a lot of time (2 years) to wait for market correction. Cheap ugly car is truly acceptable

Im seeing the 239/m for the same car on Nissan site, did it go away already?

We don’t talk solely in monthly payments here, especially not across two states with entirely different tax and incentive structures.

Same deal, $119 with $119 initial payment (excl acquisition, tax, tag, fees) is the same as $89 with $1449 initial payment. Just a different method.

It’s the same “suggested” dealer contribution, just with no down payment and you have to pay the acquisition fee up front as well.

I didn’t realize it was the same, I may take them up on it. Thanks for the info!

Before you get your hopes up, recognize 1) there’s barely any dealer stock available and 2) most dealers will most likely flat out refuse to participate in this program because of the market

Seems like they pulled the example lease offers on the LA market offers page for all LEAFs.

I was able to grab the lease in may not too bad of a deal.

— regarding my pacifica hybrid.

You MAY take them up on a lease that doesn’t yet exist on a car that doesn’t have any availability? This belongs more in the …if I could, I would …

Lol, Im trying to speak with a dealership now. if the deal is there im taking

What have you worked out as your monthly payment and DAS including all taxes & fees, prior to talking to them?

Not in stock yet, but this is what one dealer relayed back to me as probable deal:

  1. MSRP - $28,350
  2. Selling Price - $25,225 (lease promo is inclusive of a $3,125 rebate)
  3. Residual percentage- Looks to be 75% (won’t variate dealer to dealer, but is based off of buy-out price of $21,263 at the end of the two-year lease. 21,263 is 75% of 28,350) (but again, that’s just my calculation based on the info available)
  4. Money Factor- would have to speak with my finance office, though that’s another factor that is universal to all Nissan dealers. And typically marginal as it should be something like “.00128-.000003”
  5. Acquisition Fee- Just checked, on this promo specifically there’s a $650 acquisition fee from Nissan
  6. Dealer fees (if any) - doesn’t exist (here)
  7. DMV (I would be getting new plates) - per [DMV Calculator](if registered personally in Nassau) it’s saying about $192
  8. Taxes-- again would depend on the total cost of everything else, but 8.625% of the total payments + acquisition + reg x .08625 is around $350

Try to work them on a dealer discount if somehow possible. They’re selling at MSRP, then just giving you the lease cash. Aim higher than what you want (ask for 5/6% instead of the target promo of 4%) and try to meet in the middle.

The money factor on this car is 0.00003. They CAN mark it up if they choose, and they just might slide it in if you’re not paying attention.

Acquisition fee was always $650 with Nissan, at least with mine it was.

I like factoring in all the numbers and such. Play with the calculator i provided a few comments back and input your fees and taxes, then toy around with the selling price to see what number to negotiate at. (I found that dealers don’t like negotiating the little things)

It says Nassau here… Nassau County NY? If it’s a NY dealer there should be a Drive Clean rebate here too.
