2022 Nissan Leaf Price Drop & Current Regional Lease Deal (updated)

, , ,

99% of the time yes. But there was also Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid not so long ago with the same predicament of rebates and discounts that it was decided to better buy it rather than lease it.

If they have a similar RV for Ariya, it would be good to get one. Leaf is too small.

Ya I probably misread it in some promo material on standard safety shield 360 but I was last looking at a 2020 and 2021.

They’ve already delayed the ariya into next year and I’m assuming it’ll be pricier than the id4 on release, say 43k (~35K with rebate), Leaf is probably only best for city dweller/commuters.

Well propilot assist is now standard on SV (vs optional as part of SV Tech), maybe that’s what you’re thinking of.

Only on the SV+ (62kwh) it’s standard. It still an option on the SV (40kwh) within the Technology Package for $1,490, previously $2,000.

Is this offer still valid? I don’t see it on the website. And of course, there is currently no 22’s available.

This is an August offer that expires 09/07/21. These deals are regional. Could just not be offered in your region. I’m located in central Jersey.

They’re only just starting to trickle into dealer lots. Wait a bit.

I’m curious if anyone found a ‘22 and been about to get this deal? I’m thinking that part about ‘dealer contribution may affect actual…’ can really affect that monthly or drive off.

Any dealer recommendations in SoCal?

From deciphering the terms and conditions I found that the dealer discount/contribution is about 4%

If you take away the discount in the calculator, you’re at $137 with $1497 due + tax, tags, & fees.

Any deal in Cali? Good enough for a daily.

Interestingly, the RV is so crazy inflated/high that if they were to pass along $6,600 of the $7,500 of the federal tax credit, the lease would basically be $1/mo with just drive offs (assuming you roll in acq. fee).

But that RV is not sustainable, so likely over time, they’ll ratchet up the pass through of the tax credit as they lower it.

Interesting point. Assuming OC 7.75% tax rate, lease deal is $95.90/mo and $2,295 (or $795 after $1500 CCRP) DAS or about $3,000 total plus $395 disposition fee.

If you buy one with the same dealer discount it’s about $25,310 (after tax, registration, doc fee as well as $3k CC and $1.5k CCRP) minus $7.5k tax credit for $17,810. So if you do dump the car after 24-mo, if you feel confident you’d be able to sell it for more than $14,415, you come out slightly ahead buying (benefits of leasing notwithstanding).

Agree its a fugly car. I would still take this deal.
From the nissan website, Westchester NY area, I was able to get it to say this:

Tax, tags other stuff adds what, $20 a month? Still a steal for a fugly car even.

24 months | 10,000 miles $1,461 due at signing
$61 per month lease for 24 months and 10,000 miles

Probably closer to $50

Ya i calculated that id be at 139 sign and drive so your calculations are spot on

I went an Autotrader and found zero 2022 Nissan LEAFs within a 500-mile radius. Looks like they published rates and residuals for cars that haven’t arrived at dealerships yet.

For 36/10K, 2021 LEAF SV, S PLUS, and SV PLUS all have 44% residual, .00003 MF, and $9,800 lease cash here in Southern California.

The lowest MSRP LEAF I was able to find locally was a 2021 SV, and you’re looking at $300/month with ~$2,000 drive-off at MSRP after Clean Fuel Reward: https://leasehackr.com/calculator?make=Nissan&miles=10000&msd=0&msrp=36700&sales_price=36700&months=36&mf=.00003&dp=0&dealer_fee=85&acq_fee=650&taxed_inc=11300&untaxed_inc=0&rebate=0&resP=44&reg_fee=450&sales_tax=9.5&demo_mileage=0&memo=&monthlyTax_radio=true&bmw_demo_25=true

Which is why this thread should have been closed from day 1. It’s nonsense.
